Golden St. Warriors +10

The Golden St. Warriors, just have a nack to play OKC tough folks. Their coming into this game with tripple revenge. 3 straight losses against this OKC (1 of them being from last year, losing by 1 at OKC) team in very competitive games. Don't let the score fool you in the game they played on 1/27/2012 as the game was much closer than what the score indicates. Thunder are finally home for an extended period of time.  You could consider this their ‘first home game’ after a tough schedule the last 11 games where only 2 were at home.  This could easily be a spot OKC comes out flat. With the way Golden St. plays OKC tough every game, and with Kevin Durant having the flu bug going into this game, I just have to feel like Golden St. is a very live dog in this game. I expect Golden St. to come out hungry in this game, as they will definately have revenge on their minds, not to mention Golden St. has been playing pretty good basketball as of late.

Forgot to mention the fact that Kendrick Perkins is out in this one. One of the big advantages OKC had in the previous 2 games vs Golden St. was on the boards. You can certainly be assured with Perkins being out that will definately hurt OKC during parts of the game.

Yes, I agree.. I think this gives the Warriors a great shot of covering if both Durant & Perkins is out..

 

Why not take the under instead? Curry has a dinged up ankle and is 11-34 his last three games. Ellis barely played on Wednesday because he was sick. Ibaka is going to limit Lee's effectiveness. And now Durant is sick as well? OKC normally has more defensive intensity at home

Kevin Durant is not out, he will be playing, BUT HE IS NOT 100 %. I love Golden St. on the MONEYLINE tonight boys.

You're right. They did play them close the two times GSW was at home, but GSW is a completely different team at home and so are the Thunder. Thunder shoot a ridiculous 55% eFG at home, while only 49% on the road.

You saw Thunder as a -2 favorite AT Utah, they come back home to play Utah as 13 point favorites. 13 Points! They covered easily both times.

I am a huge thunder fan... I agree GST is getting way to many points, but you need to watch montes status first

Also, consider this... It is Friday... and OKC has best home court in the league.... Friday= more drinking, more show up ready to get rowdy, and this may be dumb but these players all played HS Fri. and probably had good home crowds in HS so they love these games bc thunder is young and still "remember" closely those Friday HS games unlike a guy who has been in the league for 16 years and become a hardened pro... this may not be the best angle but I am just trying to offer up something no one has probably thought about

Monta is fine. He was feeling better yesterday, so with another days rest + medication, he should be good to go.

OKC has pretty solid home stance this season but I'm not playing this game. Good luck, Prop.

GL   on Golden State, definitely think its the right side.  Perkins being out I see as almost a bonus for OKC though.  He has been extremely disappointing this year

Even though he's been dissapointing, this is the 1st time the OKC rotation is gonna be a screwed up. I'm assuming Nick Collison will be starting tonight, and backing him up will be Nazr Mohammed.  Mohammed is averaging 12 mins a game this season, expect that to go up drastically tonight. OKC is gonna be relying big on him tonight, but I don't think he's accustomed to playing that many mins this season., I see Perkins being out as a NEGATIVE to their player rotations tonight, which is a HUGE edge for the Warriors.

I honestly think the Warriors have a legit shot of winning tonight. I've put in a small bet on them on the ML at +450.
