GucciCapper has been on the right side on 3 last minute shots all in a week's span. First, it was Patty Mills against the Suns. Then it was Lillard against the Suns. Last night it was Rondo missing a game tying shot to give GucciCapper and the Pacers a win. Today, GucciCapper is quite confident that this game will not come down to a last minute shot. This is a perfect spot for a struggling team to finally get things going in the right direction.
So who are we taking GucciCapper? We are taking the Cleveland Cavaliers and laying -2.5 points against the Charlotte Hornets. Here's why.
So who are we taking GucciCapper? We are taking the Cleveland Cavaliers and laying -2.5 points against the Charlotte Hornets. Here's why.
1) The records speak for themselves. The Hornets are 13-17 and the Cavaliers are 6-21. The Cavaliers are 1-10 in their last 11 while the Hornets have won 4 of 5. Just like in crypto, GucciCapper likes to buy low and sell high. This young Hornets team is playing definitely over their head and tonight it will come crashing down on the road. Cleveland has just gotten back from a 3 game road trip and has a chance to actually win the next 3 games at home against the Hornets, Grizzlies and Hawks. GucciCapper expects the Cavaliers to come out motivated tonight at home.
2) Charlotte is on a back to back. GucciCapper always likes taking a team who is on a back to back ESPECIALLY when they are travelling from home to away. Last night the Hornets pulled an upset as a 5 point dog to Sacramento. Now they have to go on the road to Cleveland to play one game, before going back home to play the Jazz on Saturday. This is very hard to do in the NBA, especially with a young squad. GucciCapper thinks that the Hornets will take this Cavs team lightly and LAY an EGG tonight in Cleveland.
3) The PJ Washington injury is big. Don't worry if Batum is coming back, he hasn't done much this season anyway. But the Washington injury is big, leaving the Hornets with a huge missing piece. Look for Kevin Love and the Kardashian lover to have big games tonight against Zeller and Biyombo. The Hornets are thin in the front court and GucciCapper thinks that will be the big advantage for the Cavaliers tonight.
4) A deeper look at the Hornets wins recently. The Kings win wasn't that impressive as Fox was making his debut back for the Kings and teams usually fall flat in those situations. On top of that, the Kings are notoriously bad heading East as a road favorite. The Bulls game was disgusting as no one wanted to win that game. The Bulls couldn't shoot the basket and it wasn't due to good defense. It was just the Bulls being the Bulls. Brooklyn was up 20 and decided to stop guarding Graham in the 2nd half. This was just a team packing it in too early. The Wizards were very under man and still rallied to keep the game close in the 4th. None of these wins by the Hornets are impressive. The only good team they played recently was the Pacers and they got BLOWN out.
Guys, GucciCapper believes this is a great spot for a hungry Cavaliers team to finally get going in the right direction. They are healthy and catching a Hornets squad at the perfect time. Expect a beat down tonight in Cleveland. Cleveland plays usually well against teams that play soft. The Hornets are not a smash mouth type of team. They are a jump shooting team and GucciCapper expects the Hornets to come out cold and the Cavaliers to pound the ball inside.
