GucciCapper has always had a SOFT spot for the Los Angeles Clippers in the playoffs. GucciCapper remembers in 2016 trying to buy some last minute bitcoin off local bitcoins and slamming the Clippers in Game 4 of the Blazers/Clippers playoff series. Unfortunately, GucciCapper couldn't buy the bitcoin online so GucciCapper had to rush to GucciCapper's local Bank of America, pull out $5,000 and then drive to the Galleria mall and deposit $5,000 into a Bitcoin ATM machine like a degenerate. The result of the game? Chris Paul and Blake Griffen both get hurt, and GucciCapper losses $5,000. If you factor in the price of bitcoin since then, GucciCapper's 12 Bitcoin bet on the Clippers in Game 4 would be worth a whopping 130k+. LoL...hindsight is always 50/50 boys! The moral of the story is that the Clippers are DOWNRIGHT LOSERS in the playoffs. Don't even get GucciCapper started in 2015 when the Clippers were about to close the Rockets out in Game 6 and give up 40 points in the 4th quarter to a team off scrubs like Corey Brewer and Josh Smith while Harden was sitting on the bench.
So like usual, HISTORY repeats itself. GucciCapper, now a slightly wiser sports bettor and a better crypto investor (HODL), will be making the same MISTAKE that GucciCapper has always done. GucciCapper is going to back the Clippers LAYING -7.5 (or now -8) points in Game 5 of the playoffs. GucciCapper is quite confident that the Clippers will not only win, but cover the spread tonight against these Dallas Mavericks. Here's why.
1) Laying the points. Guys, these playoffs always follow a trend and this year it's even more apparent. If you think the favorite is going to win, simply lay the points. The amount of times the favorite has WON but not covered is very small in this first round of the playoffs. So there is NO REASON to lay -300+ juice on the Clippers today. That is suicide for your bankroll. Lay the points and for whatever reason if the Clippers start out sluggish or are DOWN in the 3rd (which GucciCapper does not expect) simply SLAM them in-play to make up for the spread wager.
2) The Paul George angle. PG-13 has played awful and by now everyone knows the Seth Curry + Paul George + Seth Curry wife angle. GucciCapper expects this to actually light a fire under PG13 arse that everyone is publicizing his personal life. For those who don't know, GucciCapper will make it short and sweet. PG13 was dating Doc Rivers' daughter, who is now married to Seth Curry. While he was dating her, he got a stripper (who is now his girlfriend) pregnant. He tried to pay her a million dollars for an abortion but she refused (smart girl) and now they are together. Doc Rivers' daughter found out that she was being cheated on, left PG13 and married Seth Curry who called PG13 a BIATCH earlier in the series. Makes sense? Throw in the Lou Williams' Magic City incident and roll with a bunch of guys who can BALL and also love to have fun. GucciCapper expects 30+ out of PG13 today.
