Hot streaks get cold. Cold streaks get hot. These are the norms in life and it is very common in sports gambling. Unfortunately, GucciCapper's hot streak has ended just as quick as Fall has ended in South Korea. With temperatures below 30 every night, GucciCapper has gotten ice cold this past week. So what does GucciCapper do? GucciCapper pulls an ole fashion Mark Grace and Slumpbusters out of it. GucciCapper doesn't want to get into details but GucciCapper can ensure you that it wasn't a pretty sight.
GucciCapper also thinks it's only right to end the slump by taking a team who has not won in 13 regular season attempts in this arena. Who are we taking today GucciCapper?
We are going to take the 76ers. We are going to hammer this (Pick em) and get back on the winning track.
But GucciCapper, the Raptors are playing amazing at home. They are 6-0 on the road while the 76ers are a mediocre 4-5 away. Why in the world are we going against the NBA champs?
Here's why.
1) REVENGE. Last time the 76ers played in Toronto, Joel Embiid left the arena crying. Leonard hit a buzzer beater that bounced all over the rim before sinking the 76ers Championships aspirations. Now the 76ers are back in this arena and GucciCapper is POSITIVE that they have had this game circled for a while. GucciCapper is VERY CONFIDENT that the 76ers will play their heart out tonight in Toronto.
2) Matchups. Obviously, there's no Leonard now, but also Lowry is hurt and Ibaka is most likely sitting out this game. So lets see what we got here.
Simmons vs. Van Fleet (Simmons should DOMINATE this matchup with his height advantage.
Richardson vs. Powell (Not even a question. Richardson came back from sitting out a few games and put up huge numbers) The back court advantage is definitely one sided.
Harris vs. Anunoby (Again, advantage 76ers. Harris is taller, scoring more and is a better rebounder)
Horford vs. Siakam (Only advantage for the Raptors here. Horford is still a solid player that can defend and rebound the ball)
Embiid vs. Gasol (This one isn't even close. Biggest mismatch on the court. A hungry and motivated Embiid should DOMINATE in the paint today against Gasol)
With that said, the 76ers are definitely the superior team match up wise.
3) To set a tone. The 76ers want to set a tone tonight and show that they are one of the power houses of the NBA. There's no better way to do that then to exploit and beat up on a injury filled Raptors squad that will see this as just another game on the radar. Trust me boys, this is not just a "regular" game for the 76ers tonight.
