Ring....ring....ring....Hello? Heya GucciCapper, it's Joe, Joe Public. I know that the spread has moved from -1.5 to -3 and the moneyline has moved from -120 to -150, but GucciCapper...you have to trust me. Trust me....here. The Celtics will win and cover today.
It's USUALLY scary when everyone and their mother is on one team. But GucciCapper 100 percent agrees with Joe Public here, and will be taking the Celtics Moneyline and spread for the following reasons.
1) Brad Stevens will have the Celtics ready for the Box and 1 defense that Nick Nurse was running in Game 6. This is a huge game for Brad Stevens and GucciCapper thinks he will finally get over the BUMP and win what is most likely the biggest game in his coaching career. Expect Stevens to out coach Nurse today.
2) Kemba Walker - Kemba needs to get going early today. There is no reason for Kemba not to be aggressive. GucciCapper expects the offense to run through Kemba today. Looking at Game 6 box score, there is no reason that Brown and Smart should be taking a ton of more shots than Kemba. Expect Kemba to have a great game today.
3) Superstars in the Making - Tatum and Brown are both young studs that can really make their mark in history starting today. What better way for these guys to win their biggest game in their career by beating the defending champions in a Game 7. GucciCapper expects the Celtics to play amazing today and not feel any pressure after basically blowing the series. This could be the start of a Celtics dynasty and GucciCapper is very confident that these superstars will shine today.
4) Line movement. GucciCapper is not a huge fan of studying and reacting to line movement but everything with the line makes 100 percent sense. The public is hammering the Celtics and the line is moving in the necessary direction. Remember guys, the Raptors were -150 to win the series while the Celtics were +130 to win the series before Game #1. Now in a must-win situation, the Celtics are are -150 to win? Basically if you took the Raptors series price, you can almost hedge the entire thing going into Game 7. This is unheard of for a favorite to drastically flop to a dog. Follow the line movement here. This game won't be close.
GucciCapper expects the Celtics to win in undramatic fashion. Expect the Celtics to roll and win by double digits. GucciCapper loves the moneyline for obvious reasons but has no problem laying the -2.5 or -3 as of right now. This game shouldn't be close.
