Hard to believe this is playoff basketball

Even in 2024 it's just ridiculous, pace of an all star game at times. The supposedly top defense Twolves can't get stops any more and Dallas, well, they never play any D. Neither of these teams is beating Boston, they just seem to run up and down the court and hope for the best.

Interestingly, so far this year any series where the total went one way or the other for the cirst 3 games it went the other in game 4. And both finals have gone over 3 games in a row.

That's the current state of the NBA.

You feel like teams would suddenly go into playoff mode and play crazy defense.

Nope - Pacers, Knicks, current Bucks, and every other team just plays non-stop offense and zero defense.

Very few teams turn on the defense and even then it's not every game - Celtics, Heat, and a few others that have experienced players or coach's that do more than just call timeouts while the players do whatever the hell they feel like that day.

I'm still gonna take Under for game 4 both series see if the angle holds up. I think it should since both games will be elimination games, if you're gonna finally show some grit now is the time. And of course either the Pacers or Wolves could just quit. The Pacers just blew an 18 point lead at home and the Wolves just blew 3 4th quarter leads in a row. Feels like 2 sweeps, especially Dallas because theyll be at home and the Wolves must be mentally broken now. The ball just keeps going into the hoop for the Mavs.
