I think its a big mistake!!! Yes his contract was up at the end of the year!!!! I guess OKC is proactive ...but he was the sparkplug!!!

Someone tell me OKC will still be OK

Bottom line is he wasn't gonna get a max offer from OKC. Which means he would have been gone for nothing. Now they get Martin who is a more then reliable scoring 2 guard and still a solid #3 scoring option for OKC. They also get Jeremy Lamb who will be a very nice piece in a few years. Not to mention one of the 1st round picks they get in next years draft is the Raptors(will be top 10) Plus a couple other picks(one will be Houston's). They did so good in this trade, especially compared to what it could have been with a harden walk for nothing

Harden wants to be the man this is what people forget. Not only does he want the max- I mean. It's hard being behind Russell and Durant when he knows he has potential. Money doesn't hurt either

Yeah and thats pretty sad because he couldnt even play his role on that team when it mattered most...he was horrible in the finals.

Thanks guys ...I know its the best for the team...i just hope it doesnt mess up their chemistry....

Also...i bet he woulda ended up a Laker if he woulda gone into free agency

yea i agree poker....he wants to be the man....can he handle the pressure....his main move is to penetrate and do that pull through move... he hits some 3s, but he choked in the finals....and Houston wont even make the playoffs...or be above .500!! jus tmy opinion, i could be wrong

Houston has 2 of the most over-rated players in the NBA now

Since when does a guy who comes off the bench deserve max money?  

A little different coming off the bench on a great team and playing 30 minutes as opposed to being the guy on a not so great team and logging 37-40 minutes.  

Not saying he can't do it, but he hasn't yet.

He plays all the crunch time minutes. That shows more significance than "starting". He was clearly the 3rd best player on the Thunder.

In a lot of ways, he is like Ginobli. You wouldnt relegate Manu as just a "bench" player, would you?

Kevin Martin doesnt nearly have the game Harden does and will not fill the Thunders needs like Harden did

i think it was the "right" move... for the picks... not for lamb...who will be a non factor..harden was gone in free agency after this season
