Are a middle school team. Biggest pile of shiit ever. Never seen a team that consistently goes on 10-0 plus run and the gives up a 20-0 run to opponent team almost every single game. This shouldn’t be called a pro team. These clowns are laziest slackers ever. They steal their paychecks every working day.

Believe it or not they’re actually better than last year. Play no defense and rely on a quick pace or cold shooting by opponents to try to win. Not great on the road. Against teams that play defense. Wasn’t a good spot for them tonight on a back to back.
all that being said, Trey young sure knows how to turn it over or miss free throws in certain situations when they have a chance to cover

Yes I rarely watch modern NBA games the product for me is not what it used to be. Betting is much different than enjoying the actual game. Atlanta is not even the worst statistical defensive team which is hard to believe. They seem to just want to try and outscore with zero focus on defense which is not working. Yet. I have to believe for a guy who came up through ranks and played at Duke Quin Snyder is simply getting his paycheck and accepting reality. This makes his Utah Jazz teams feel on par with the 80s Celtics or Pistons, 90s Bulls teams, or the early to mid 2000s Pistons, Spurs, and Celtics teams.
Defense started going out the window by the 2000s. There is a reason it got less physical because the Pistons killed the Lakers in 2003-2004. We can't have that tisk tisk. There are some exceptions but trends began heavily favoring offenses. Put in more rules favoring offense and less physicality. And never touch an All-Star player that's a big no no.
It's gone back to the fast pace eras of the 60s 70s and 80s. Only now the three point shot is used. The 80s and 90s were the best era for the NBA. There was a balance of team play, great offense, and rugged defense. Defenders still had a chance to disrupt offenses or one player. Anyone remember stars like Jordan being hammered (no reviews, no ejections, no flagrants) shooting free throws then running back on defense no questions asked? The prima donnas of 21st century would be crying the whole game. They are great players but it's not the same game. There are no longer any skilled centers. Skilled centers now are ones who can shoot threes. Shaq is not walking through any doors and never will be again.
Sure people will say 21st century eras had more skills overall and more players can score. But they are less fundamentally sound, team oriented, and more focused on offense and the perimeter shot. Perhaps they have more skills but it's not better basketball for my money.
It's funny 215 totals today are the new 177-180s. By the time Dallas and Phoenix with Nash used to have 216 totals that was the 230-240s of today. I love offense but the game has many facets and I love all of them. I loved watching Dennis Rodman defend and rebound a true genius at his craft. The changes and strategies test an old adage defense wins. Real defense is no longer permitted or it's not emphasized. And they all make more money than ever. The irony. Like a superstar getting paid higher than ever after his prime.
