I have to think League wants Lakers to get to 7 seed to avoid a play in with Warriors. In that scenario, both Lakers and Warriors would have a 1st round series against 1 and 2 seeds if Lakers finish in 7 seed and Warriors in 8th spot. Otherwise if Lakers and Ws maintain current 9 and 10 spots they play each other and 1 team is eliminated straight away which is not the scenario front office wants. Do I have that correct?
Since Lakers lose any tiebreakers with Sac (lost season series) then they must leapfrog them in the standings. Both teams have 5 games remaining. Also, Lakers could leapfrog Pels too. Seems like the League is doing their part already handing both Kings and Pels narrow losses recently. That last game of the season at New Orleans could be for all the marbles. It'll be interesting to see ref crews on Lakers games coming down the stretch, bet my guy Foster gets his beak wet.

Lakers will win out and be on an 8 game winning streak going into the playoffs. Warriors will win 4 of their next 5. Kings will go 3-2 (losing to Thunder and Suns) in their next 5. Pelicans may go 1-4 in their last 5.
Lakers: 49 wins
Kings: 47 wins
Pelicans/Warriors: 46 wins

Much respect to you and I mean that sincerely, but sometimes I wonder if we as sports bettors have a notion that the rest of the non sports betting world actually gives a shit who's playing. If it wasn't for us sports bettors, there would only be one or 2 games a week on NBC the way it used to be.
If it so happened the only games on were the Detroit pistons vs the Charlotte hornets, I guarantee there will be more than enough interest from us sports betting junkies. Keep in mind the NBA finals used to be shown tape delayed at 1130 pm after the 11 o clock news. That shows how much interest the rest of the public has.
