It’s simply amazing. His team even blew a 4th quarter lead in game 7 against the Lakers in the Finals. But not many recall that. The guy just can’t close. Ever.

I still don’t understand how Philly totally collapse in the 4th and lose this game which they had total control of. All I’m trying to say is you can’t simply blame just the coach for this loss, it’s also on the players for totally collapsing, I sometimes hate betting on NBA. I believe Philly was the right side sort of speak but since I lose my bet despite seeing Philly being in total control but a pathetic 4th quarter by the team I have to say I sometimes hate betting on NBA.

Look at the Clippers this year vs last year. You can blame Doc. Too many collapses. I have been saying it forever but everyone wants to blame the players.

Alot of people don't remember it took the Celtics 7 games to beat the Hawks in the first round in 2008 as well .. That of course was their Championship year He had Thibs as an assistant coach to help him with the defense as well that season

@begginerboy
I already agree with you the coach is bad but come on its also the players, how the heck they collapse and play that badly in the 4th Q? The players was playing great and in total control for 3 Q so you could say the coach was doing good job coaching and players doing a great job playing, but in the 4th Q the coach did bad job coaching and u must say the players were also pathetic since they simply seem like they forget how to play or just stopped playing.

@Chauster
They threw the game. It was fixed. It was a conference championship game, and they had a huge lead on their home court. The players were paid off on Philly to lose it in the 4th. The gambling sites are corrupt.

He’s laughing all the way to the bank. Doc has more epic chokes and collapses than any coach in NBA history and somehow he gets 25-30M contracts thrown at him every few years. It makes me sick.

He is really in a league of his own when it comes to chocking. Can’t recall a coach in any sport who has his track record. Maybe Rick Adelman and Marty Schottenheimer. Oh, and that Atlanta Braves manager, Bobby Cox?
