The Twolves are done. They choked away both home games to start a conf finals series. Has any team ever done that and went to the finals? I dunno. These guys won't. Because that loss was totally down to a lack of mental toughness and intelligence.
I don't get what the coach or Ant was thinking at all. The possession before the game winning shot Gobert was way out guarding Luka and getting cooked just like he did on the 3 that won the game but they just got lucky he missed the first time. How on Earth did the coach not prevent that exact scenario from happening again the next time?
And IDC if Naz Reid was hot, you should have had KAT in the game at the end. Heck, keep Reid in and take out Rudy, he didn't do anything at all in the clutch even on defense they were getting lobs late.
The refs had to have seen they missed that foul on Kyrie during the review, why not go to the rim, they probably would have given you a makeup call. Ant obviously does not have the clutch gene. He doesn't even want the ball.
I know he was 7 of 9 but still, Naz Reid? Foe the game in a must win? No. Look at how stiff his shot motion is compared to the guys who made their clutch shots, Kyrie and Luka. You don't give it to a guy like that to hit the game winner, he's gonna brick it. You need someone with touch on the ball. Someone who is actual quality.
I have to admit I was wrong thinking the Nugs Wolves winner was going to win the West. What the Wolves have shown is they don't have a real leader. They don't have anyone who can take that big shot. Dallas has 2 guys that can, and that's made all the difference.
Not that it matters because there's no way either of these teams beats the Celtics. The Wolves are there because the Nuggets choked away game 7 and the Mavs are gonna advance because of tonight's choke job. Pacers also choked away a game they had, but Minnesota actually lost the lead late in both games.
Gonna be a lot of finger pointing going on in that locker room and I don't think they have the maturity or mental toughness to handle what just happened to them. Gobert has always been a loser and Edwards just got exposed as a total choker.
Denver actually lost the first 2 games last round and only looked like they were gonna come back and win because they won 3 in a row and were the champs and Jokic went off after winning MVP. The Wolves aren't gonna win 3 in a row like that and they don't have a player like Joker to lead a storming comeback. They just proved that, there is no one to step up and be the man on this team. This series could be over in 5. It won't go 7.

Last year the NBA gave Jokic his title, this year, it’s gonna be Luka. Also Irving will beat one of his old team’s in the finals. Hopefully the Mavs are at least +200 to beat Boston in the finals. Whatever the number is at, I’m taking it.

Gobert and KAT look like the losers they have always been and ANT man looks like a clueless rookie all of a sudden .. and obviously their coach is clueless . I don’t see how they don’t get swept .. but then again this is the unpredictable NBa where somehow the teacups will win by 15 in Dallas next game.

Mavs +250 for Title now....wow...wish I laid much more when I took them at 40-1 a couple months back....I think they can give Celtics all they can handle but at least I'll have some solid "gardening" opportunities

They have a chance but I don't think it's gonna happen. They have gotten lucky that their opponents were the Clippers (enough said) and a very green OKC and now a team that suddenly forgot how to play defense after being the best defense all year.
The Celtics have much craftier guys all over the court than the Wolves who look clueless. Jrue Holiday is not a mental midget like Ant man, and they are much better at shooting the 3.
Anyway this is going to be a sweep. How can the Wolves possibly get up for another game after blowing it in the 4th late yet again? I thought 2 was enough of a back breaker but this one was just insult to injury because it looked like they were gonna flip the script and this time THEY would come back from being down and had grabbed the momentum late. You could even hear the announcers creaming themselves when they grabbed their first lead since 5-3 midway through the 4th. Especially since it started with Ant 'Im gonna be super aggressive' dunk and step back to tie. It was like okay, here it comes (script time).
But it all slipped away again. No mental toughness on this team, no clutch genes in their DNA. Possibly an extra chromosome on Ant 'Send Da Video' Edwards and Rudy 'Ice Skates' Gobert.
How he got DPOY again is beyond me. Gafford had the same blocks per game playing less minutes. Derrick White should have gotten it, he is 18th in blocks as a PG and he shuts down guards which as we have seen in this series is what really makes a good defender. Most of the best scorers are guards.
