I do believe there are "fixes", but I believe it lays in totals and the refs. Totals are very easy to fix. All you have to do is put a team in the bonus after the under six timeout....
But, the biggest reason you people see "fixes" or "shady" stuff, as most nba bettors know, is for one reason, and one reason only:
MOTIVATION
Out of 82 games, a bad team will refuse to show up to about 40 games. The reasons could vary, but they just DON'T CARE.
Most of us older guys know that if don't show up for work, we don't get paid. That's not the NBA. In the nba, scheduling is everything. Most guys will just go out to collect a paycheck.
Example:
Do the Houston Rockets care that they beat Sacramento Kings in early February?
Do the Phoenix Suns have pride and want to play with OKC?
Sometimes, teams are just outmatched, but that's ok. Most of the time, these guys are just punching clocks, just like you do. Sometimes you just don't want to be there.
So, my point. There are no "fixed" games. THEY JUST DON'T CARE
Should You?

I think it's a little more complicated than that. Houston is in 8th place fighting for a playoff spot. They'd "care" about every game. So I can't explain why they'd take a game off vs Sacramento. They knew Portland and LA had lost earlier today. Utah lost Friday. So they could gain a game against 3 other teams w/ a win. They effed up. Why? Who knows.

why??because sports aint played in a vacuum, thats why..theres always an opposition down the other end of the field or court that has a big influence on how you are or arent able 2 play..its absurdly simplistic to just say"why didnt my team do this, why didnt they do that?"..well,theres always a team doing every thing they can 2 stop or limit your side from doing wat they can.
and of course,as weve seen millions and milions of times, its only human nature 2 perform up or down to the level of competition.ya can say na it shudnt happen, they professionals and shud set their own standards, but all evidence to the contrary suggests that is simply not realistic or attainable.and anyone who has ever competed in sports of any kind knows this 2 b true.ya never pull out your greatest, most flawless performance against the bottom side in your competition and likewise ya dont turn up lack-lustre and indifferent wen playing the champs or league leaders.
so youre on a road 2 madness if ya keep asking why a team that is clearly better and has perceived greater motivation lost to an inferior team.who can guess at sacramentos desire to win that game??just cos we all think its a lost cause for them dusnt necessarily mean that they think the same way.with all the losses they suffered who wud b more desperate for wins than them??
and also it is greatly under-estimated the level of talent on even the weak teams in the nba..all of these guys are serious, serious ballers and can kill you on their day...and the likes of tyreke evans, demarcus cousins, isaiah thomas etc..cud all b stars on the rite team in the rite situation...ya cant question their pure talent...their consistency, maturity and mentality perhaps, but their talent is not a million miles away from that which the rockets hav in my estimation.
just my 2 cents worth anyhow

I counted about 7 more "fixed" threads just now...I wanted to bring this up, something I wrote a couple weeks back.
REMEMBER, most of the time, athletes don't care if they win by 1, or 100. Sometimes, they don't even want to play....Sometimes, they take the foot off the pedal...Sometimes, they just want to crawl up on the couch, cry, and moisten their vagina's, just like you do.

i think they have nights they just want to play or don't ..also division games mean a lot more than teams playing out of their division ...thats when they can rest key players ...there is no doubt that a lot of games scores are ''managed'' for some reason ...

I dunno... Do you see "the fix" more when you lose a bet? Do you still see it the same way when you are on the winning side? I think people tend to remember the times they "got screwed" out of a call or a player making mistakes/playing poorly, but forget quickly those times they were on the other side of the same situation.
