if you want to win long term u have to treat it like a business and adhere to strict rules. the ones who do this definitely arent the type that yell at the tube and break chit if things dont go their way.

the long-term profitable cappers ive noticed are also very selective and can go months without a play.

as for resorting to selling picks-- i would say that the biggest reason is not solely because they are losers, but because selling picks is so profitable while risking nothing and has a low barrier to entry. This is evident by how often you see the regurgitation of the saying "oh that slimeball went tout, what a shame" or something along those lines. The rhetoric is pushed by existing touts that don't want competition.

The NBA is easily the worst league to bet on, I know people that make money on NFL, MLB, college football and hoops, even NHL and soccer.

But I don't know people that put large bets on NBA, why? Because the NBA regular season is meaningless, teams rest players since november because they know they'll be in the playoffs, players don't play regular season like the playoffs, there's no motivation, everyone knows 10 -12 teams that will make the playoffs since free agency is over. When you have to add motivation, late scratches on lineups, etc. it's tough on top of capping a tough sport with tons of lead changes.

Ask any respectable capper and they'll tell you by far the NBA is the worst league to bet on. I'm betting some college hoops until MLB starts.
