IH8ColdWeather - Examining the Nets & Blazers line

This is a line that we really should talk about. Both of these teams can score in bunches. The line opened at 241 and it has pretty much stayed there. But who is playing in this game?

It looks like Durant is resting. The Nets have a number of injuries. Kyrie is listed as questionable? What is the play here? Conventional wisdom would favor a positive expectation bet in the over if both teams were HEALTHY with Durant and Irving both suiting up and Dame and CJ playing at maximum strength. The Blazers have been cold and are at risk of losing playoff positioning if they don’t get their act together at the end of the season. The problem is that it is hard to bet either side at the line because neither team plays any defense, Portland less than Brooklyn though.

What is the angle here? Something about this line and over/under feels fishy.

should be a run and gun game, thats what book expects hence the line

blazers shot little better last game

125-115 seems reasonable, hard to see it push over that with durant out

but 126-120 is easily attainable

all comes down to shooting %, do the players shoot well tonight or not

Yeah.

 I’m riding the Blazers 1Q ML -125. Blazers ranked #1 in PPG in 1Q. 2Q they always cool off. Nets are also ranked #1 in 2Q PPG. Cheers

First quarter over of 61.5 seems pretty legit too.

I'm a sucker for punishment I took The Nets +2 1/2.

The Nets don't like to lose and that bench is awesome. Someone forgot to tell them to take their foot of the peddle.

Just some thoughts... Pretty sure this will be a playoff atmosphere game. Dame has made some comments that have probably rubbed some of the nets the wrong way. He has said they are buying a ring. He also commented on a twitter post of Durant listing the top 5 players he has played with that didn't include russ. In Durants post game of Indiana he mentioned that he was hoping to play in this game but he had to come back in against Indiana because they made a run. I think both sides have had this game circled. My lean is the blazers
