Also Lean to Jazz and under forgot those 2. A couple of the biggest leans!
@Jordan - I like the Jazz as well and here is my analysis of this game...
The
Utah Jazz finally lost a game over the weekend as their first time out post
All-Star Break was a 100-81 loss to the Blazers that snapped an 11 game winning
streak but the Jazz jumped right back in the win column beating the Mavericks the
following night and we like the Jazz to continue their outstanding run at home
again here as they scratch and claw their way back into the competitive Western
Conference Playoff race. topflightsportsinfodotcom It’s never easy
to fade Houston, the Rockets took over the top spot in the Western Conference
by a half game with a win over the Nuggets last night and now sit at a
ridiculous 46-13 on the season but this is a brutal scheduling spot for the
Rockets so if there were ever an ideal spot to take a shot at Houston it’s
tonight as the Rockets travel to Salt Lake City on the back end of a road back
to back. Sure pretty much everyone is
rested and recharged after the extended All-Star layoff but this is as brutal
of a three game in four day stretch the Rockets have had on their schedule all
season. The Rockets kicked off their
second half with a big national TV game at home against Minnesota on Friday,
they made the trip to the high altitude and played a grueling game with Denver
where they had to withstand a big fourth quarter run by the Nuggets and eventually
won 119-114 and now they have to turn around and travel to another high
altitude city to face one of the hottest teams in the league in one of the
toughest places to play in the NBA. The
Jazz are 19-10 at home this season, as we noted before Utah has won 11 of their
last 12 games and their 31-29 record is not really indicative of the Jazz team
that will step on the floor tonight since this was a team that underwent some
big changes right at the trade deadline.
Utah is one of the better defensive teams in the league which are
generally good teams to back when they are facing a tired team on a back to
back and there is no greater fatigue than playing an up and down game with the Nuggets
in the high altitude of Denver. Utah has
held 10 of their last 13 opponents under 100 points, the Jazz are playing at an
extremely high level right now and just beat Golden State on this floor by 30
so there’s reason to believe they can knock off a vulnerable Rockets team
here. What’s even more impressive about
Utah’s current run was the Jazz were significantly banged up prior to the
All-Star break. Multiple key Jazz
contributors including their best player, Ricky Rubio, missed time before the
break and the Jazz also lost some depth when they traded away Rodney Hood and
Joe Johnson. The Jazz got a key piece in
return in Jae Crowder who has fit right in with the Jazz since making his
debut, the All-Star break gave the Jazz some time to collectively get healthy
and we see the Jazz in it for the long haul as they battle it out with four of
five other teams for the final couple playoff spots in the West. By no means are the Rockets going to just
mail it in from now to April but the reality here is Houston and Golden State are
just so far ahead of the rest of the Western Conference that these teams have
the luxury of expanding their rotations and resting guys in an effort to be as
fresh as possible once the playoffs start.
What that means is a road back to back, especially off of a win last
night, isn’t life or death for the Rockets like it is for the Jazz here, Utah
desperately needs any win they can get with so many teams vying for the final
playoff spots in the West and we just don’t see the Rockets matching the effort
and intensity of the Jazz here. Finally
this spot just screams “public disaster” as the public were all over the
Rockets as they covered the -4 last night in Denver so naturally the betting
public is going to go back to them laying a lesser number today. topflightsportsinfodotcom The significance of this scheduling spot can’t
be understated, this is what the players and coaches lobbied to avoid and while
the schedule is far more favorable this year all of these spots couldn’t be
avoided and the Rockets are in one of those “unwinnable” spots here. A whopping 80 percent of the public is laying
points with the Rockets here, we know Vegas doesn’t just give away money so let’s
make the sharp play with a Jazz team that has cashed a couple times on our
current NBA run and ask the Jazz to win or, at the very least, get this one to
the final possession in Salt Lake City tonight.
Play on Jazz +3 (-120)

I'm seeing a lot of people on Washington but i'm not sure they looked at who they play the very next day! If Washington does win tonight, I will go Large on the Warriors tomorrow!

just a counterpoint-does the GS game really matter to them tho? they have to think that they have a really below avg chance of winning that game, so getting the win against the bucks is of more importance. and GS is a western conf team while Mil is eastern, again a win against MIL is not worth looking ahead to killer team. And all this w/o Wall, while they may have been playing pretty good without him they would need to be at full strength to circle that game on the calendar.
IMO, Washington needs to focus on competing in the east before they concern themselves with beating the going-away fav
