This is the 2nd highest road total for Indiana in the last 2.5 months. Only their game at Denver(193.5) had a higher total over this span of 14 games. I think the oddsmakers are slightly overcompensating for Indy's recent offensive surge because they simply can't predict how long Indy can sustain this outburst.
There is subsequently some value here, imo.
Indiana has played some excellent offense over the last month and has hit 21 of 38 three point attempts in its last 2 games---unusually prolific for them.
However, they remain slow paced and bottom 10 in many offensive categories. Same for Detroit. They are both bottom 10 in FG's made per game, so I am anticipating some regression for Indy tonight.
Losing Drummond has drastically altered this Pistons D as they have given up 99 or more points in 6 of the last 7 games. Will they exhibit some pride after a blowout loss? I expect some level of competitiveness to show in front of the home crowd.
I am on the under 189. Good luck with whatever you decide.
