Just read this on the net...

Can anyone explain why his card goes for way more than Kobes, Lebrons, or Durants combined?????

maybe bc they don't make a lot of jeremy lin basketball cards?  and you know...he's popular as heck right now

I sold a Vince Carter basketball for $1,200 about 10 years ago.  I'm sure the guy who bought it could only sell it for $50 now.  Whoever paid $21,000 is stupid, because the price will only go down....if Lin doesn't make the All-Star team within 5 years, that card will be worth $300

Unless he wins a championship and MVP and has a baby with Yao Mings wife (does Yao Ming even have a wife?) will that card be worth anything.

Steve Nash won MVP 2x and whats his rookie card worth? $50 tops? Lin ain't shit.

Yea, Yao has a wife that looks like a dude.  I'm sure there's Steve Nash rookie cards out there worth $800! But the person who paid 21K just got jipped, Lin can barely dunk the ball, he got famous cause the defenses he was playing against was wack.  People were getting a hard-on when he was scoring and driving by D Fisher who's like 40

Scarcity. There's only 25 of these. There's tens (or hundreds) of thousands of all of the others.

You do realize his D-league, Erie's game jersey (which he only played 1 game and had a triple-double) auctioned for over $13,000 USD, right? His practice jersey was sold for I belive around $4,000.

btw the mentioned rookie card is signed and had a piece of his GSW jersey on it too.  The guy that sold it, initially bought it for $1000, right after the Linsanity started, now he is netting over 20 Gs.
