Kawhi is 14-0 vs the Sixers. Has never lost to that franchise.
He owns them. Raps go up 2-0. Tease them down to a .5 point and get an easy win.

Kawhi is a hungry man, he certainly unleashed himself in the playoffs. Sixers have had some big comeback games after loses but I think you're right here. Are you teasing with a total?

You're right, the perception that the defense was so much better then. FALSE. Take a look at some of MJs games and the likes of who was guarding him. NBA defense is so much better now than before with scouting reports, shot charts, evolution of the player, sports science, etc.

You obv didn’t watch either... it’s not a perception, defense was actually played. You can hand check, bang for boards , dive for lose balls and you didn’t go to the free throw line every time someone else’s jersey touched you
Harden, James, any of these stars who instantly turn to the refs and cry 9 times a game wouldn’t be half as dominant as they are today..
The skill level of the average nba player has gone up through the years but there is no defense!! None. Most of them don’t have the heart that you needed at that time
Guys like Giannis Westbrook and Lillard got the heart

These type of people are comical. True comedians if you don't think defense is MUCH better now. Can't let go of the past and public perception.

Westbrook is the most overrated "star" there has ever been. He won't ever win a thing. He's the dumbest player I've ever watched, constantly makes awful decisions, ruins any hope for his team no matter the other players. And people question why Durant left. Having "heart" is the laziest way to evaluate any player.

If you even sneeze at a guy nowadays you can get called for a foul. Back then it was much rougher and tougher. Take a look at the way Laimbeer and Mahorn used to play D for the Pistons back in the day. Different game, different style of D.

It's like trying to compare MLB now vs. 100 years ago. You cannot slide into the catcher and he cannot block the plate now. I saw a picture of Cobb sliding into home plate and he is airborne. Spikes (metal, not plastic) aiming right at the catchers knees. Completely allowed back then.

Not right or wrong, just different

basketball is still a contact sport and defense now is the best it's ever been for the reasons I've already mentioned. Laimbeer would get DESTROYED in the NBA today. Some people such as yourself have a difficult time admitting this. MJ was playing mostly against accountants and pizza delivery drivers.

He owns them. Raps go up 2-0. Tease them down to a .5 point and get an easy win.

This 14-0 crap is what's wrong with cappers. Please explain to me how the process guys like Alexey Shved, Jakarr Sampson, Henry Sims, and Hollis Thompson have any relevance to tonight's game. Even the early season games mean nothing since this is a new starting 5. Keep following trends though, you'll go nowhere.

funny part is, I'm way older than you. The old school guys never had to defend bigger, more athletic, better shooters that make up the NBA today.

It's also ashame that Brady lost to a backup QB in the Super Bowl. Ruins any legacy he would have had.

Laimbeer may or may not get destroyed in today's game but to call the NBA a contact sport in this day and age is comical unto itself. Soft contact maybe. Comparing todays NBA to yesteryear is like comparing flag football (NBA now) to full contact football (NBA of days gone by)

Every sport has instituted things to make the game 'safer' or to encourage more offense. NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL are different than what they used to be

watch an NBA game in person, watch a college game in person, hell go play a game. Much more contact than you're programmed to believe. Basketball is 100% a contact sport. Football is a collision sport. Huge difference.
