Kawhi & Siakam remind me of MJ/PIP.
Yeah, except MJ and Pip played against plumbers and off duty firemen, which 6ers clearly are not.

It's like trying to compare MLB now vs. 100 years ago. You cannot slide into the catcher and he cannot block the plate now. I saw a picture of Cobb sliding into home plate and he is airborne. Spikes (metal, not plastic) aiming right at the catchers knees. Completely allowed back then.
Not right or wrong, just different

What's comical is that anyone would even try to compare them as the rules for the defense are completely different know than 20+ years ago. If you even sneeze at a guy nowadays you can get called for a foul. Back then it was much rougher and tougher. Take a look at the way Laimbeer and Mahorn used to play D for the Pistons back in the day. Different game, different style of D.

Kawhi is 14-0 vs the Sixers. Has never lost to that franchise.

Every sport has instituted things to make the game 'safer' or to encourage more offense. NBA, MLB, NHL and NFL are different than what they used to be

Laimbeer may or may not get destroyed in today's game but to call the NBA a contact sport in this day and age is comical unto itself. Soft contact maybe. Comparing todays NBA to yesteryear is like comparing flag football (NBA now) to full contact football (NBA of days gone by)
