where was this cocky MF tonight? sure he had 17 points but the Celtics were out-rebounded 40-52 and 8- 23 on the offensive board.
The team who won the rebound stats in every game this series won the game....
Kevin Garnett was soooo soft on the boards tonight, not to mention Pau GasoL bent him over and ripped him a new one..Gasol just demolished Garnett...19 pts, 18 rebounds!!!!!
how do u get 18 vs 3 rebounds???
Glen Davis- 21 min -9 rebs
KG- 38 min- 3 rebounds!!
Shitty to be a Boston fan right now!! (thankgoodness im not)
1st the Bruins write history by blowing a 3-0 series lead and a 3-0 game 7 lead! now the Celts blow a 3-2 series lead and a 13 pts 3rd quarter game 7 lead!! yikes!!!
i guess thats why they say "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!"

You're right, it is funny. Some of the same people would be riding KG's nuts if the C's had won haha. Ok so the guy had an important game with 3 rebounds. These things sometimes happen. Typically rebounding isn't even a category you can choke in. Its pure positioning and athleticism, really not all that mental.
Actually I take part of that back. Lots of people choke on rebounding at the end of games assuming there will be no time to put in a follow up.

Kevin Garnett= choke job? He had the best game on the Celtics team. He shot 61% from the field, essentially had to go up against 2 7 footers, and got into early foul trouble.... How in the world is that a choke job? Kevin Garnett showed up to play.

He's old and worn out. Remember he came in the league right outta HS and carried the Twolves for years and he's rarely missed games. That's a lot of mileage.
Guys got an MVP and a championship though so he's set. Helluva player and I think he'll play a few years longer but they days of 20 and 10 averages are long gone.

This thread is too . I think carlweezer needs to rethink his post. First off, why would anyone want to be a Boston fan? You're kidding right? Perk went down with an injury and he's their best rebounder. If he went down a week prior to Game 7 I think things would of been different. You see with Bymum's injury the Lakers knew their role. And by the way who lead the Lakers in rebounding in Game 7? Gasol then Kobe. Phil Jackson knew and his gameplan was for Kobe to rebound which he did a very good job of doing in the last 2 games. But to adjust a gameplan on a whim is extremely difficult.
Second, at least the Boston teams got there. Where were the California teams?
For the Celtics, let's see what happens with Ray Allen and Rasheed before anointing a 3-peat. If they leave or retire that leaves an awful lot of money for a nice free agent! How good would KG be if he played 28-32 minutes per game?
I hope Rivers walks away too because Kevin MeHale would step in. You might say KG has issues with McHale but its a totally different situation. The player who would benefit the most would be Perkins. Let's also hope that Rondo reviews the films and witness how horrible he is at shooting an outside shot and free throws. I bet you'll see a new Rondo next year too, a much better Rondo.

One more thing, why did the Bruins go down? Very similar to why the Celtics went down....a late injury in a series. Maybe you should highlight what I just said and maybe bet against teams who sustain where a major player gets injured, in the Bruins case, 2 players.
