A minor hurdle yesterday won't stop me today! I went 1-2 after a 2-0 start the day before, but hey, it is certainly better than going 0-3. Again, bet at your own risk my tips are just a guide, BUT, I'm pretty confident in today's tips unlike yesterday which was a pretty average day in my opinion. Let's get this show on the road...
Talking about on the road, every team tomorrow I'm backing is in fact playing away from home.
Utah +5
Utah is going to be my money making machine this season and I already cashed in on taking them +6 or whatever it was against the Cavs the other day and against the Pacers a few days before that. They are a solid side and will match up well against the Heat with no obvious mismatches, except for Bosh's ability to stretch the floor on Favors. This is made up by the depth of Utah's guards, even if you exclude Hayward as a forward.
With both teams being so defensively sound you can assume a lot of tough shots being put up by the offense. Rebounding will be key in this match up and Utah hold a strong advantage in the offensive rebounding category. If Utah don't win this game it will still be a tight contest (can't see a Heat blow out), and I think they have the cover in the bag.
Everyone is sleeping on Utah this season but their young squad is maturing each game and as a squad, are almost 5 years younger than Miami. Chalmers was clocking minutes before his trade so Miami are still getting used to life without Rio.
In a game where I can even see the underdog winning with ease, it is a no brainer for me to take them at +5
Golden State -7.5
As much as the Timberwolves have improved, Golden State are a well oiled machine, experienced and I wouldn't be surprised if by the time you read this the line has jumped. Home court means little for the Woves, you can hear a pin drop in the Target Center sometimes. Their hot start was no fluke, but against the reigning champs it's an intimidating match up for anyone. Despite the Wolves early form, all statistics still point to the Warriors for a convincing win.
Rubio and Wiggins slight knee problems could rule either out of the game in what would be a huge blow for the Wolves and result in a huge blow out for the Warriors. Cannot see Timberwolves getting within single digits, sorry!
Clippers -2.5
Clippers are a work in progress and will be disappointed after the loss to the Mavs. They have dominated this match up as of recent times and I see no reason for BG32 and DeAndre 3000 to not explode after a frustrating outcome against the Mavs, especially against a Suns squad they have derailed in the past. Only 10 days ago the Suns managed to shoot almost 20 more shots than the Clippers and still lose by 6, and as long as the shot attempts stay close this time around it's gonna be the Clippers by 8+. No word on Redick yet but the Clippers bench can certainly make up for the lost scoring firepower.
Decided to get this write up done early so I can reply to any queries or questions straight away!
