48-48 still on fire
I think this is a good spot to catch Toronto napping on defense a bit. After a long West Coast road tip they came home and held serve against Cha and Orl then went to Atl for a quick road win then back home to preserve their unbeaten streak in a dead under game against Philly where a lot of posters lost good money backing 76ers. This is essentially a home heavy crowd tonight in the NBA due to day off tomorrow, I love home let downs in these spots. I can't imagine Raps get completely up for this match-up. On the other hand, Knicks are getting Barrett (homecoming), Ntilikina and Knox back for this game and might kinda be excited to play. If Knicks get it going early then Raps will have to join in to try and keep that home unbeaten streak alive so this very well could be an exciting game despite the ugly match-up on paper.
I also love the referee trio as crew chief Tre Maddox is a perennial umpire (#2) and now is getting the call up to lead crews this season. I've noticed when a ref gets their chance they tend to have uptempo close exciting games as they want to keep their job (extra $40k per year). Last outing he crewed a stinker 103-88 Detroit win over Orl, he'll want to erase that result quickly and his mates Tyler Ford and DeRosa are good mix to get an uptempo game with him. Unless NY completely no shows I think this will be fun.
