Is the key to the series. Mavs will fight hard no doubt about it. Not sure what Silver wants here bc Doncic is a big revenue generator but Boston looking to break tie with Lakers for most championships. Either way you have a few days to think about your wagers although I'm sure some are locked in already.
This is a guy who has been hated on more than any player in the NBA for the past 4 years... hard to imagine booing him will do anything other than make him play better.
Doncic has absolutely owned his matchups against Holiday... I'm surprised that people are still under-estimating this Mavs team. I realize the Celtics have been the "best" team all year... but the Eastern conference is absolute dogshit, especially considering the Bucks had to play their series without Giannis, the Heat had to play without Butler, and the Pacers lost Haliburton early in the series. They couldn't have had a more cakewalk road to get to the Finals... while the Mavs went through the gauntlet.
Still blows my mind that so many cappers discount this factor when you get to the championship level. I talk about it in football and basketball virtually every year. There's a reason the West keeps winning titles, and the AFC keeps winning Super Bowls. Those conferences are significantly better, and when you get to the championship game, that difference becomes apparent.
