The goal is to make playoffs. If they’re deciding to lose today and then they lose tomorrow which is def a possibility, then what? You make zero sense and can tell you’ve never even played a game of AAU ball. You just a sport watcher.

Teams don't play 82 games, to lose a play-in tournament game on purpose  and risk their entire season.

 of course I waited until the end of the game. You got to see for 48 minutes, that the Lakers were not intentionally tanking, which was the claim of the OP.

I'm in the camp that no team is dumb enough to lose a single-elimination game on purpose in order to "get a better matchup" in the actual playoffs.

They'd be risking getting knocked out entirely.  If teams are in the play-in, they're going to play to win the #7 seed no matter what cause then you get some breathing room with a 7 game series after that.
