Clippers @ Nuggets: Over 223
The first half total is set at a pretty low 108.5 at most books and recently when I have seen those low first half totals, the game definitely starts slow and I do expect the same in this game. Reggie might come out and go 1-12, Morris might try and push Jokic in the back for what Jokic did to his brother and I do think we see a physical game with the whistle happy refs. I do expect a better scoring second half as the teams get into their groove. Clippers were rubbish last game against Utah, shooting just 36%, hitting just twenty 2 pointers. That’s hard to believe. They hit 11 threes but just averaged five 2 point buckets a quarter? Mind blowing even in this era of three point shooting. Utah had a simple game plan, run the Clips out of the joint as they took a huge 97 attempts which work. Nuggets should do the same thing tonight as they are coming off two games where they took 87 and 82 attempts (in reg time vs Cavs). Can’t see Zubac stopping Jokic at all and if that’s the case, Jokic should score well and also facilitate as well.
