The celts are in evident need of a presence inside,the numbers and game show it.Horford helped creating spacing,but they still are missing a rim protector and a rebounding big.They should hear it today.Horford always suffered toronto,even in his atlanta days his team struggled against the raptors.Valanciunas can outwork him in the offensive glass,if motivted enough.
About today,thomas will of course be missed,but it could be a good thing for the celts in a way.Smart should start and create much difficulty for lowry to create game.But this is a division game,and the raptors are always up for this kind of games(they must have good motivators on their bench,or simply players are that way);i would like to pull the trigger on them,but i feel i haven't followed the team enough till now.What d you think guys?we miss a toronto fan in here...

absolutely pass,this raps is different from last yr raps...without bismack n playing no defense, they can only beat mediocre teams..

The lines very sharp like most of the games today.  I'm from toronto and a fan. I think they beat boston sans isiah thomas.

The offense is actually running better through Horford. He has been dishing the ball well, has eight or more assists in the past two games with Thomas out.

 I like Thomas but I feel he should be coming off the bench, Smart should start.

This game is important to the C's, they need to prove to themselves and their fanbase that they are legit this year.

I see the C's pulling this one out late for a statement win.

Toronto 1st quarter or 1st half may be a good bet. I doubt they start two games in a row slow..... 

I think the Wolves woke them up last night.  No opinion on the whole game but good luck.

Ok kush,we know it well they aren't beating cleveland..but after spending 120 milions on a single player the playoffs should definitely be a must,and probably a second round is a minimum considering the roster.
For today,i see toronto pulling that off.If you look at celtics schedule,you can see, they only beat bad teams,at home or on the road.Against complete teams i dont see them very well.Plus without thomas,its not like other teams,where the oher players step up.They are just bad.
Anyway,if you dont take them today,at last give a little thought on them winning the division.Dont see how can they lose that...

I'm a Toronto fan living in Toronto and I can give u my thoughts on the game.

Toronto playing on a b2b with travel scares me a bit, but I think they will still show up as it is a division game. The raptors played terrible defense last night and coach Casey was visibly unhappy, but them go with the flow. The last time coach was pissed about the defense the Raptors blew out Houston the next game and completely shut out James Harden.

The value on the raps is awesome and on any other day they would be faves and destroy the Celtics. But tonight fatigue may be a factor in the 2nd half and Boston will play hard. I am personally laying off due to the possible fatigue factor.

I laid a nickel on the Raps + 2. Celts leading scorer and assist pt guard out . Raps are 5 - 1 on the road after consecutive home games. Raps are 7 -2 last 9 on road. Celts 1 - 4 last 5 ATS @ home. Raps 2-0 in division. Raps 8 - 1 last 9 vs east. Celts power rating @ home is - 1.9 , not great . Raps power rating away is + 7.8, which is 4th highest in the league . Raps SOS is ranked 7th league play compared to Celts 12th. In the second half Raps have the highest rating at 4.6, which means coach gives them the business at half time, and they come out firing on all cylinders . I'm 4-0 in the NBA this week at 500.00 a clip. I just capped this game and I'm on Raps for the same . Will be close throughout, but without Thomas the Celts loose.

so why is celts fav by 2.5 then? Don't be fooled Vegas knows something...

Boston can't keep up with raps o, especially with Thomas out. Raps bench is better than Bos bench

Raps are avg 60 points in 1H in last 3

Cmon Rolex that line opened at -1 and went to +5 when word broke Gasol might have been out then down to 2 when he was confirmed. There's no movement like that in this game. You can't say Raptors were giving now you're getting the 2 as a bad vegas line

Not saying this line is bad, all I'm saying is I'll take + 2 without they're floor general . Thats all. My line has Raps favored by 1.5
