Since you think you know every fucking thing, you should really research how much of the house's take comes from sports wagering. They don't give a damn about paying out Celtic tickets. And they fasho didn't need Denver to win to cover Boston. You're so fuckin clueless you probably have no idea how the actual money was split on the Celtic game. You're probably one of those kids that think the covers consensus represents the actual split.

Correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t the HOUSE get it’s cut from all bets after all wagers are accepted, and the LOSERS pay the WINNERS. That’s why lines are adjusted to keep it even...
The house only loses if people don’t bet, no?

In a perfect world, that's the goal but in some instances the house has lopsided action leaving them open to a potential big loss. Or a big win. And on rare occasions, the house picks a side and will move the line in an attempt to bring in action on the other side. These are the rare occasions when the house believes the majority of the betting public just flat out has the wrong read on a game. They are essentially gambling themselves in these instances but for the most part, they like sure money. So they try their best to bring in even action so they can take their few bucks off the top and keep it moving. Sports wagering is like lumber in a lumber yard. Lumber yards don't make a huge chunk of their profit off of lumber but they have to stock it because, well, they're lumber yards. With damaged boards accounted for, they're happy just not to lose money..You know where they do make money? Screws. Nails. Crazy high profit margins. The casino does make money from books. Tons of it but do you know where they really make loot? Slot machines. And conventions. Over-priced drinks in one of their multiple clubs. Isn't ironic that they can charge 20 bucks in a club for a drink that some punter can get for free for simply pumping nickels into a slot?
Sports wagering is for us purist. It's a throwback. A connection to the old days. Don't get me wrong, they are serious about sports wagering dollars but if they cared that much they would have lobbied hard against legalized sports wagering in additional states. They would have pressured lawmakers to crack down hard on offshore books. When I was a kid, Nevada used to lobby hard against legalized sports wagering in other states. They don't give a damn now. It's a small fraction of their revenue. It's the world to us but to 99.9% of the population, to 99.9% of the visitors to a casino, it means nothing. They wager on the Super Bowl and big name fights. Maybe the NBA finals.

This guy says some of the dumbest things. He said “Vegas doesn’t want to go to war with him because he has a bankroll. Lmfao
