Evening gents, today's slate of games is pretty ugly in my opinion, I don't see a lot of opportunity so looking for a different way to make a profit and may add a few straight wagers later but will be playing a handful of player props today as well. Went 2-3 (SW = 0-2, PP = 2-0, 2H = 0-1) for a 5.5 unit loss which includes a 2 unit live wager loss on the Thunder. Also just a quick correction, on Wednesday I listed an ML parlay at +103 when in face it was a -119, does not really matter as it was a winner but I just wanted to post the correction and it will reflect correctly when juice is updated on Monday. Onto today's card, best of luck gents, peace - - - MAK --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mak's 2014/2015 NBA Season Investments
The Miami Heat continue to look for answers this season. The only answer is Par Riley. He is looking to shake things up with a trade and is working hard to do so. Wade needs help, he can't do it alone and with Bosh out for an indefinite amount of time. Guys like Deng, Chalmers and Napier have to step it up offensively on a nightly basis. I know this sounds strange, but I would have preferred if Paul Pierce sat out, but he went through full shootaround and looks probable at this point. I wanted Otta Porter to start and Temple to get time tonight because of their defensive aptitude. If Pierce is on Deng, Deng may light him up. With Hamilton and Birdman at the 4 and 5, there is no offensive contribution from them. Norris Cole has struggled since returning from his injury, so it is up to Wade and Deng to put up points in the starting unit against Wall, Beal, Pierce and Gortat. Off the bench, you have Chalmers and Napier as the main offensive guys as Ennis and Haslem will not beat the Wiz on offense. Nene & Seraphin are just outstanding big men to have coming off the bench and Butler; a guy who barely made the team as the last one chosen, is now the sixth man putting up consistent numbers. Otto Porter will get time and hopefully Temple may get a few minutes if Wade lights up Beal. In their last 5 losses, the Heat have put up an average of 83.2 points per game, I'll take the under on the team total here and it would be larger if Pierce sat out, one can still hope, but it's doubtful.
The Oklahoma City Thunder will be without the Slim Reaper (man I love that nickname even though Durant does not). Westbrook will have a huge game against Price and Lin. But 7 points is too much here as despite the suspect starting 5 for the Lakers, their bench is now stacked. My issue is that Roberson will play good defense on Kobe and guys like Perry Jones, Lamb, Morrow and Jackson could possibly go off on the lackluster defense of the Los Angeles Lakers. Also, Jordan Hill will play limited minutes as he is dealing with an illness. I would prefer a smaller 4,5 rotation with Ed Davis and Boozer but Sacre will probably get more run tonight. I do think that OKC can come up with a win here on a back-to-back. But I will take the 7 points here.
The Cleveland Cavaliers off an embarrassing loss to Atlanta should be ready for this game, and Brooklyn is also looking for revenge after they got beat down by the Cavs at home. I think there is little o no chance at a win here for the Nets despite Plumlee playing out of his mind with his confidence back and Joe Johnson being active for this game when he was out in Brooklyn. In their last 6 losses, the Nets have averaged 84.5 points per game and despite the high pace that the Cavs play, I suspect after giving up such a high team total vs Atlanta, that defense will be a focus tonight. The Raps are just making your boy Mak so very proud. I read an article on ESPN saying the Raps are playing championship caliber offense with their efficiency being the highest in NBA history when compared to their assist efficiency rate. They run a lot of iso-motion for Lowry and will do so again tonight. The only consistent player on Detroit is the 6'11 286 pound beast Drummond. He will dominate but Smith's defense will mean nothing against a low possesion player like Amir Johnson. Ross will lock down Singler. Lowry is greater than Jennings and Fields will lock down KCP. The bench for the Raps is just spectacular with Vasquez now playing much better. Sweet Lou, Patterson, JJ and Tyler will get it done vs the inconsistent D bench.

Showtime - - - You know it brother, riding Tobias like a prostitude rides her clients on a Friday night baby. 6-1 on over props with Harris. I love the guy, 6'9 240 stud of a player. Thanks for noticing show, appreciate the post.
GG - - - I always appreciate your posts and well wishes my friend, thanks as always for the post. Good luck to you as well.
Showtime - - - True I don't like totals all that much, but those are two fast paced teams who like to run so I can see a 107 - 99 type ball game here easy. Let me cap the total a bit, if I don't play it, will be rooting for ya bud. Thanks for the post.

That's it for me on the prop front, it's 9 total props tonight which is my largest slate of the season. Averaged out to about 13% juice so I need to hit 5 for a profitable night in that area.
Unless any value pops up in terms of 2nd H lines, that will be it for me today. Good luck guys.
