Hey guys, a new week begins and looking to get it going with 9 days left in the calender year. Ended the week off with a really bad card, went 2-6 (SW = 1-4, PP = 1-2, 2H = 0-0) giving up a precious 8.5 units to the bad guys. Tonight am going against 3 good teams which is always dangerous, but taking a chance and trusting my gut. May not be able to play any props or 2nd half wagers as I plan to call it an early night here in Kenya. As always gents, I wish you the best of luck, peace - - - MAK----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So far this season I am 1-3 betting against my boys and 2-1 betting for them (although I should be 3-0 betting for them if it wasn't for an idiotic moose yesterday afternoon). The Raps begin their toughest stretch of the season, they will now basically live out of their suitcases and it is officially time for them to prove to the NBA and all the doubters that they are for real, their success has not been because of their great scheduling thus far where they have had awesome home stretches. Raps are for real, especially with DeRozan, they are up for the challenge and I see them doing well during this tough stretch. But tonight is not going to be the night they start their statement. Tonight they face the Bulls who will play with their all their big guns together for the first time this season. Rose, Butler, Gasol, Noah and Gibson have yet to play a single game all together, and tonight all of them will be active in this big conference showdown. There are basically 5 solid teams in the East. The Bulls, Raps, Cavs, Wiz and Hawks. None of those teams want to be in the 4th or 5th seed in the playoffs, but two of them will have to square off against one another. I really believe, that when healthy, the Bulls have the best team in the Eastern Conference. If they can somehow find that defensive grit they had under Thibs all these years, stay healthy, and barring any big moves by those 5 teams, I see the Bulls in the Finals, I really do. Gasol is too big for Amir, Noah will really frustrate Val, Butler will completely lick down Ross and Rose is one point guard who can actually outplay Lowry. The bench for Toronto is exceptional, but with Taj, a surging Mirotic, Hinrich and Brooks, Chicago can match them in every aspect. The Bulls were once the most dominant home team in the NBA, and I actually think they have the best team they have had in years. With Butler playing like a complete all-star, this team is going to finish #1 in the conference as long as they stay healthy.
The San Antonio Spurs have not lost 4 consecutive home games since January of 2002, that is a heavy stat. Yes they will be without Parker and The Legend Of Big Hand, but their depth, toughness, grit, coaching and pride will allow them to prevail tonight. Since going 13-4, they have dropped 7 of their last 11 in some heartbreaking games. I was just amazed at how amazing they were at Dallas without their big 4, they played with such poise. It allowed for guys like Marco to gain his confidence again. Marco, Splitter, Manu and Matt are the difference tonight. They face, in my opinion, one of the worst benches in the NBA, the Clipps have no depth whatsoever, all they have is Crawford. The Clipps starters have been playing heavy minutes. Both teams on a 3 in 4 night situation, but with Manu and Timmy getting rest (which they deserved after back-to-back OT games), I think the Spurs will be energized tonight. It's not really a must-win, but at this point, the Spurs desperately need a win, especially at home. I suspect the champs to use their immense depth to take care of the Clipps tonight.
