Momentum shift?

I saw this stat:

Before last night, the most a team had ever won a game by down 3-0 in the 22 years of our database was 21 points.

That was Cavs and they lost next game  by 9 points to Warriors. 

But losing by 38 points? That feels a little different?

 I like the Mavs to at least get this to six if bot seven and then who knows!!

Celtics (-7) will be in this spot for Game 5 after getting obliterated 122-84 against the Mavericks in Game 4

BUT I still ask does losing by 38 feel different? Maybe… feels like getting knocked tf out?

Pulling the starters 4q inflates this number though…hmmm

No matter how you cut the mustard its just one game. I'd keep that in mind.

It's like the celtics didnt have practice or shoot around. Just went out and played. Feels like wolves game 4 against mavs

What if we are witnessing history in the making. Celtics are experts at shitting the bed. I had them last year on future and finals, and they are real choke jobs. It’s crazy the Mavs  have more total points in the series , 408 to 402 and are loosing.Has to be a set up. Just take the points with the Mavs the res of the way and i think we will have fun winning with the money we won game 4, double up, and if you have the balls to do it again till the nba finals are over, then you would be very smart to take advantage of the last money to be made on basketball this season. Who wants to lay 7 points with that kind of momentum. It’s the third largest point margin in NBA history, 38 points.maybe the HANG OVER THEORY applies here, or we are done and want to go on vacation. It’s been 4 unders. I’m an under bettor so it’s risky for 5 straight unders, the stats have to be in favor of an over. Mavs +7 and live under if they start scoring is the best way to go

I feel the world will be on the "better" Celtics team to close out G5 but Mavs dominate again start to finish and we get a G6 and everyone is in flux...there's certain teams in the NBA that to me seem on the take as far as whacky results Lakers/Hawks/Clips and these Celtics...this is going back to Dallas for a G6 for shizzle you can't give Kyrie and Doncic momentum even off a lay down

Honestly losing that bad normally is a bad case for the winning team heading into next game. So much revenge factor and motivation going on for the losing team getting embarrassed like that. Winning by 38 points feels like it will work against MAVS heading to game 5. They probably better winning off single digit and winning by this much. I think 

I'm debating this game ahead of time right now. Full disclosure, I'm looking to make a larger wager and I need a plus juice wager.

The Celtics have been chokers and underachievers for I dunno how many years now. How many times have they been a top seed and not gotten it done? Like 3-4 years in a row? Always the criticism that Tatum is the worst superstar in the league when it matters, and Jalen Brown disappears.

There's been none of that this season. None of that during these playoffs. Yes, the Celtics have come out flat some games, and they lost to the Cavs when they were missing Mitchell, but that's just basketball, and one game in a series. 

Has Joe Mazzulla really gotten these guys to play up to their full potential with his combo of excessively hard work, strong christian values, and family type atmosphere? That I don't know. (If you haven't seen his background, look him up on youtube how he started and came up). 

There's a lot of people that think this ends in 5 though. I was one of those people 2 days ago when I took Dallas. But that would really be the smoothest series and season the Celtics have ever played since their heydays in the 80s. Which would be unusual for them. Feels a little too smooth. 

I do agree that for the most part, you want to take the team that got blown out the next game. But didn't that happen in the Minnesota series for game 7? Minnesota won by 50, and the Nuggets were up 20, but they choked and lost that game by double digits.

Also wanted to note that the Celtics have been pretty huge favorites after games 1 and 2.

Celtics in 6 pays 5-1, and Celtics in 7 pays 7-1. 

Which is fair I guess, Mavs are +220 for game 5, and seeing what happened last game, Dallas would probably be -2 or so for a game 6, with Boston being like +110.

Yeah, well, that stat is there because of that Game 4 blowout....lol.

Boston has lost 5 quarters in a row now...my bread and butter is MLB, so I'll just sit back and watch this finals play out.

This was a planned “ Gentleman’s Sweep “ and nobody is going to convince me otherwise. Celtics showed in the first 3 games they can beat Dallas at will and they decided rather than humiliate them with a 4 game sweep in front of the Dallas crowd, they’d throw game 4 and settle for the Gentleman’s Sweep with an easy win in front of the home crowd in game 5. Bye bye Dallas….
