My pick of the day

Nets -1.5  They are the hottest team in the Eastern Conference.  I think they will make it a perfect 4-0 against Toronto.

 Not to mention the Raptors are playing like garbage. Feels like this is one of those games you can’t overthink. Nets are the better team.

I have to go back an entire month to find the last time the Nets impressed me. That happened on November 17th when they rebounded from a humiliating 153-121 beatdown in Sacramento with a 109-107 win in Portland. After that game they returned home and defeated the Grizzlies 127-115, but....the Grizz that night were without Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Jaren Jackson, Jr. Then the Nets traveled to Philly where they embarrassed themselves by not showing up when the Sixers were without both Joel Embiid and James Harden. The Sixers led from start to finish and won 115-106. The next night, the Nets redeemed themselves in Toronto, winning 112-98, but....the Raptors were missing Scottie Barnes, Fred VanVleet, and Paskal Siakam.

Since that night in Toronto, the Nets have gone 8-2, but that includes home wins by...

7 points over the Magic

6 points over the Wizards

6 points over the Hornets

4 points over the Hawks

The Nets' most recent game was a 112-100 win over the dead men walking Washington Wizards who've lost 8 in a row and compete against no one.

The Boston Celtics are actually the hottest team in the Eastern conference, and that includes a very easy 103-92 win over the Nets in Brooklyn twelve days ago.

Congratulations, magiccarpetride. That was an exciting 4th quarter, and with the Smeltics taking the Magic very lightly in Boston, the Nets are now indeed the hottest team in the Eastern conference.
