I just can't get a read on Game 6. BOS has to leave it all on the table, GSW does not. Will GSW show up and play hard? If so, for how many quarters? I think if GSW is down by 12+ heading into Q4, there's a reasonable chance they almost pack it in and save their bullets for Game 7. BOS will play their starters for 40+ minutes if they have to, GSW will not. Going into this series, I thought GSW was clearly the better team. After Game 4, I wasn't so sure. Game 5 only muddied the picture even more.
BOS has shown flashes of being able to defend Curry. The question becomes, can they defend Curry and Wiggins and Klay? Horford is more of a threat on the offensive end than any big for GSW, and he very well could be the key to BOS getting the W. If BOS tries to win a 3-ball contest, they probably lose. If BOS pounds the ball into whoever Draymond is defending and force him into foul trouble or even get him ejected, they probably win. If BOS can consistently drive the ball into the lane and draw contact, they probably win.
The psychology of a Game 6 is interesting, especially when the road team has the chance to win it all. Honestly, would GSW rather win it in Game 7 at home in front of their fans? I know, I know, they'll take a world title however they can get it, but on a subconscious level, maybe their ideal scenario...? And for BOS, their reward for winning Game 6 is yet another agonizing flight to the west coast, maybe for nothing? That can eventually wear on a person and a team. GSW can afford to plan for Game 7, BOS cannot.
I just don't see enough of an edge to justify a wager.

That’s a good take. No real edge here. The league wants a game 7, but will the teams comply? Anything can happen tonight.

It's not a question of if...Boston at some point will try and turn this into a 3pt contest. They shot 10% in the first half and were down 12 in game 5. They make eight straight threes in the 3rd and guess who takes the lead? They've done this over and over again since the milwaukee series. Every boston game is 50/50 because of this factor...they are so streaky.

Phenomenal write up sir!!! All makes a lot of sense to me. I firmly believe that BIG AL NEEDS TO HAVE A BIG GAME for the C’s to earn that flight back to the west coast for a game 7. Maybe doesn’t need 20+ points but, needs to be effective enough to keep the Warriors honest and having to guard him as well as, guarding the J’s. iMHO. BOLTA!!!
Everyone has a plan, until they get hit in the mouth.

I have said it in multiple threads. For Boston to win they need a free throw attempts advantage of 10+, and probably 15+, and to shoot 40%+ from three on high volume. 40%+ on 40+ attempts. If they fail at either of these things, the lose.
TIME TO BRING BACK THE OBAMA CAGES!
