This play is all about motivation. This is Detroit's best chance to avoid the humiliation of the longest losing streak in NBA history. Pistons actually played ok in losing by only six on the road in Atlanta last game. Despite the record, Detroit has lots of early draft picks and Cade Cunningham is a scoring machine. They just don't play any defense but facing the specter of historic awfulness, I suspect they'll lay it out tonight. It's an awful spot for Utah, playing without rest after losing to Cleveland last night despite shooting over 50 percent. Detroit has had two days off.
