So in summary for teams to make out of the KO rounds and to get to Vegas here is what they need to do;
Knicks vs Magic
- The winner will go to vegas. If Orlando loses, they need not to lose more than 37pts which is a no brainer -they are not getting a blowout that big at MSG tonight.
Pistons vs Bucks
-The winner will go to vegas. Any team that loses must not lose more than 5pts in OT. If any of the team loses by more than 6pts, Boston will take over the the seeding of the losing team and will take the wildcard.
Clippers vs Portland
Two scenarios here;
1. LAC must win by atleast 24pts.
2. POR wins, then Dallas & OKC has to lose.
Thunder vs Jazz
- Thunder win + Spurs lose to Suns or;
- Thunder Win + Dallas & Portland lose.
-Non bearing game for jazz, they can play as spoilers.
-Point difference doesnt matter as seeding on "win over the other" takes place
Spurs vs Suns
-Spurs win then they go to Vegas
-Spurs must not lose by more than 20pts in OT
-Spurs Win + Dallas L + Portland L +Denver L then Spurs go to vegas
-Suns win + OKC L then Suns go to vegas.
-Suns win + Portland and Dallas L
Dallas vs Memphis
-Dallas win = Wildcard Spot
-Dallas must not lose by more than 24pts in REGULATION if Denver is gonna win vs GSW
-Memphis must win by more than 24pts in REGULATION and OKC, Denver, and Portland must lose their respective games.
These are the only important games for tonight. All the rest will just be considered as regular games and will only affect regular standing. Rest, Power Rankings, Streaks, Momentums, Injuries, Load Management, Matchup History can be considered in these regular games. For teams mentioned above, you can just read between the lines who has the highest probability in winning tonight's game, the spread and game totals can be easily predicted with their MUST DO items above.
