I am in the process of putting together a formula for calculating NBA spreads. This is a work in progress but i think i may have gotten to a point where it can consistently pull in a profit over the long run. As this is simply pure numbers i do not know what picks are worth more than other picks. I can see the spreads that are off the most by my numbers but it doesnt always mean its a better bet so as i track it longer i can make that decision. As of now i put the same amount on every single game.
Boston +3
Charlotte +3.5
Brooklyn +2.5
Detroit -2
Indiana Pacers +4.5
Memphis -4.5
Houston +4
Golden St +6.5
New Orleans +5.5
Portland -2
For the Orlando and Utah games the line is currently almost dead on with what my calculations show. Because of this i am holding off in locking these in to see if the line moves a half point in a direction to make it more clear what the pick should be.
I hope by seasons end this purely numbers strategy will show a profit. I am fairly confident it will but will have to wait and see. I started the system a couple days ago and currently picking 50% with one push and a total profit of .45 Units
I like to think i got unlucky the past couple but maybe instead i have been lucky. I guess time will tell.

detroit +12 (line is dead on with that i have the two times lines were dead on in the past the team getting points covered both times that is the only reason i am picking detroit here)
toronto +6 (i have line off by 6 points)
portland +6.5 (this line is also almost dead on with what i came up with)
philadelphia -4.5
orlando +5.5 (i have line off by 6 points)
new orleans +10
I am going to start tracking the lines that i find to be off the most to see if the disparity in numbers actually means anything and if additional units can be added to those bets or if they are consistent enough that i can use only those bets in the future instead of betting full cards. That is the only reason that i have added notes next to the orlando and toronto bets. Its simply for me to use for tracking purposes.

Lets try something new tonight. Dont think i want to ride roller coasters.
I want to start playing only games that i find to be 6 or more points off. However i am not sure how often that will be available. So i am going to start out with games that are 4 points off or more and if it does run well i will change it up to 6.
detroit +1.5 wash +6.5
