The favored Suns play in their first NBA Finals since the Goat dispatched them in 1993, nearly 30 years ago.
I expect some nerves, jitters and erratic play early from the young Suns. I love what I saw from the Bucks after clinching the Finals berth in Atlanta, they literally did not even celebrate Lol - it was odd. They shook hands with ATL players and walked back to the locker room. Anyway -
The Bucks are playing with house money here, it’s a super spot for them (don’t ever underestimate the nobody believes in us factor) minus their best player, they’re not expected to win this game anyway- I love the fact that Drue, Middleton, Lopez are playing at absolute peak levels right now, those dudes are playing out of their minds and I expect that momentum to carry forward in game 1. Game 1 is usually a kitchen sink game for the road team (steal game 1) you’ve heard it a million times. The 2 day break is certainly helpful when you consider the Bucks played in Atlanta and will start the Finals in Phoenix but those dudes are young man, not worried at all.
Drue > 36 year old CP
Middleton > Booker (in these playoffs, it’s undeniable, the numbers back me up/ Middleton has single handily win games during this playoff run) his confidence right now is as high as it’s ever been.
Ayton > Lopez , but by how much? Lopez will pull DA outside the paint with his 3 point shooting ability and he’s a load inside. This isn’t an easy matchup for DA but he gets edge.
Then you’ve got Tucker and Portis vs Bridges and Crowder. Toss up? Can make a case I’d rather have the Bucks two.
So here are my 3 plays for tomorrow.
BUCKS + 3 (1H)
BUCKS + 6.5 (FG)
BOL to all

You’re on point with posted P2P matchup above. Casual bettors are blinded by Sun’s smooth run into the finals, and won’t credits Bucks’ grind to the finals. Plus 6 points is a lot for game 1 between ECF and WCF champs. BOL on your play.

If there are any jitters it'll be early game 1. After a couple minutes, it's just another game, a game they've played thousands of in their lifetime and 15+ this year in the playoffs. "Jitters" will have zero affect on the outcome.

So 'grinding' out series against the Hawks who have one good player and no D, a Miami team that was a shell of last year's, and a Nets team that was just another wannabe superteam that never worked out is more impressive than....
Beating the reigning champs, sweeping the MVP led Nuggets and swatting away what was widely considered the deepest team in the league.
The Clips Lakers and even Nuggets had more playoff experience than the Suns too. Clips and Lakers had way more.
The Suns are so much more convincing. I can't believe people watching the Bucks struggle to defend the Hawks who do nothing but shoot jumpers can't see that the Bucks are very deserving of their underdog status here as Phoenix finally get the respect they deserve.
I literally can't fathom it, I honestly think people only think this way cuz they haven't seen Phoenix play in a while.
Game 6 Huerter didnt hit a shot like the whole game and Trae wasn't anywhere near himself and they STILL let the Hawks back in it time and time again they could not pull away, always doing just enough to win but waited until very late to actually finish the Hawks off even tho the Hawks played bad, shot bad, rebounded bad. I mean do y'all forget how many turnovers the Bucks had? Do y'all forget how cold this team was from 3 pt land for long stretches through out these playoffs?
And check the stats on Phoenix how many turnovers they force on teams...
This series is a nice matchup but Phoenix is not losing it and I don't think game 1 is a good spot for the Bucks, lots of travel and off a long series they had to work very hard in and their star got hurt in
IMO this is the easiest call of the series, Blowout written all over it.
