Stumbled onto this thread by accident. My God! I sure wish the woman in that cashaholic photo was here with me right now!
Sharpshooter5, you are 100% right about the NBA! And you're the first one I've ever heard ask that all important question!
Me? I STOPPED betting basketball around 15 or 20 years ago. I used to make thousands and thousands of dollars betting on the great teams and players of the past. But those days are looooong gone!
Some of the greats of the game when I was making big money included;
Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Shaquille O'Neal, John Havlicek, Robert Parish and Kareem Abdul "Sky Hook" Jabbar! To name just a few!
But not only are the Superstars long gone, but basketball has now been completely destroyed. Many years ago the game was no longer called "basketball".
It's now called "Foul Ball". And that's what destroyed the entire game! No less than 275 foul calls each and every game! A player is not even allowed to go NEAR another player, or, another "foul". The game is now decided on who "fouls" who the most...and how many "foul" shots will be made!
They totally destroyed the game! And betting on it is now a coin flip. Nothing more, nothing less. When the football season ends soon, I might bet a game or two here or there. But I'll be going only by the Gold Sheet's selections and their one or two "Key Release" plays. That's $8.00 a week at www.goldsheet.com. They're pretty good.
But in my opinion Sharpshooter5, the above reasons are why you and many other bettors find it almost impossible to bet. Don't blame yourself. THEY are the ones that destroyed the game...and made it a virtual impossible game to wager on! Best of Luck, and I would try the Gold Sheet to help with your selections.
Like cashaholic, football and baseball are the best!

What? 5 Percent! Am shocked to hear this! I knew college was even harder than the NBA, but I didn't know it was THAT bad!
I noticed some of those teams favored by 15, 20 and even 30 points! Thanks, but no thanks! Not me! Good luck to those trying to beat that racket!
