NBA MONDAY DISCUSSION (IN PARTICULAR THE ROCKETS)

Question

The spurs are 12-2, suns are 11-2, Orlando is 12-3, Jazz are 10-6&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;What am I getting at? &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Often the better team fails to cover away because in their head they know they are better and as long as they escape with the win they are happy. Face it players are human and over a long 82 game season do take nights off. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The 7-7 rockets can&#x27;t afford to do that tonight, even this early in the season. The rockets know that the spurs suns jazz hornets nuggets etc. will all be looking to get one of the first 4 spots in the playoffs, and though today&#x27;s game is only 1 of 82 14 games into the season they are a .500 team while others are .600-.800 teams. I&#x27;m not saying the rest of these public away favs can&#x27;t win, however it is my opinion the rockets are the team of these away favs most likely to come out with heart and not play as flat as favs on the road sometimes do.

also im seeing 6.5 at all my books on this one can someone tell me where they&#x27;ve seen a better line, also do you expect this line to drop, remain, or raise. &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;The rockets have a day off tomorrow before they visit the suns.

I think the Rockets simply are just not as good as maybe everyone thinks they are.  Remember, they lost 6 straight before coming up with a victory against the Nuggets at home.  I think as much as this is maybe a "must win" for the Rockets its also the same for the Clippers.  I&#x27;m taking the road dog tonight only because I think this game will be decided by less than 6.5 points no matter who wins.  Just my opinion of course.  GL with whoever you go with

3 of the losses were vs suns, mavs at spurs. Mcgrady is supposedly feeling better and with wed/thurs b2b against the 2 fastest paced teams in the league (Suns/gsw) I expect the rockets to get it done tonight, might take 1h still waiting before I place anything, I also like the jazz, and I&#x27;m leaning gsw (nash can&#x27;t gaurd davis imho) Will still be lookin for more angles and discussion before I place tonights bets.

dangerous proposition to bet on road favorites in general. Houston has looked pretty crap lately and aside from yao and mgrady no one seems to be doing anything. i like them to cover the first half maybe but im not sure the clips are likely to lose by over 7 at home to this kind of team. Houston has also lost 6 of the last 7. And has only beaten one team by that many points on the road once so far this year. Utah. Im not sure how they did that. Anyways good luck but be careful.

I wound up looking at the 1h exclusively b4 decdiing no play for me, hard to know what maggette will do in his first game back. Supposedly he was at close to 100% also.
