It’s Monday and here are the bets for today - ALL UNDER BETS
Lakers UNDER 232
Pacers UNDER 241
Pelicans UNDER 230.5
Nuggets UNDER 219.5
@Ilost
So what I do is I like to lock in all my lines early in the morning. Then I wait until closer to game time. If the lines move in an opposite direction, I will cash out of the bet for a fractional loss and rebet the game. Most of the time though, I’m getting the money in at the right line and so I benefit from a 1 to 3 point position at -110 odds versus getting the same line at -135 or -140.
That’s my strategy and why I lock in my bets early in the morning. There isn’t a significant loss since I’m betting the same units for each of the bets, but most of the time the line moves in my favor so I lock it in early.
As it stands now, after only about an hour and half, here are how the lines have moved:
Lakers UNDER 232 - now 231.5 (-115)
Pacers UNDER 241 - now 240.5 (-115)
Pelicans UNDER 230.5 - same
Nuggets UNDER 219.5 - 220.5 (-110)
These are MGM lines. I’m in the same or better position on 3/4 of my bets. For the nuggets game, I could cash out of my $550 bet for $537.50 and get the extra point. I won’t do it yet, but if it holds until game time, then I’ll cash out and buy it back before the game starts. I expect the lines to continue to move, so we’ll see.
If there are any changes before game time, I’ll update the thread and give you guys advance notice about an hour or so before tip off.

Pulling the Denver +5.5…line moved dramatically to +11.5 (-115). Something isn’t right there. I’m sticking with the original picks from this morning at the same lines I got them.
Final card:
Lakers UNDER 232
Pacers UNDER 241
Pelicans UNDER 230.5
Nuggets UNDER 219.5
good luck everyone!

While waiting for the half to wrap up in Utah, I wanted to post about taking those early lines. This morning was a perfect example. If I had waited until the afternoon or even mid-morning to take the picks, the Lakers game would have been a loss. Again, not saying this will always hold true, but given that we can all cash out of any bet early, it just makes so much sense to lock in the best line when you have the opportunity. If you’re wrong, you lose pennies on the dollar, cash out, and buy back or just sit out (like I did with Denver +5.5).
But the flip side is you lock in your line and save the ENTIRE bet (see Lakers push). Other benefits to locking the line is also illustrated with Denver’s total line. We got it at 219.5 -110 and it’s at 216.5 -115 right now on MGM. If I wanted to buy it at 219.5, it’d cost me 25% more in juice, which is ridiculous.
Anyway, just my 2 cents

Nuggets might just go over at this point. I went under on that pelican game when the line kept going up and up. For no reason and same lineup.
Hope you hit last one. BoL

That’s a wrap to a great night:
Lakers UNDER 232: PUSH
Pacers UNDER 241:
Pelicans UNDER 230.5
Nuggets UNDER 219.5
Looking back, I should have kept that Denver +5.5 and stuck with the model, but the line got out of control and I slammed the brakes on that bet. Oh well, can’t be greedy. I’ll take 3-0-1. Congrats to those who tailed. I’ll be back tomorrow AM with some more picks. Goodnight
