players 51% / 49% owners and # the players will get monetary packages of some sort to make up some money they are losing (this way the players come out like they didnt actually get raped and the owners come out looking good)
# MLE: mid level exception - 5 million per year flat rate (maximum of 3 years) (bonus 1 million or 2 million does not count against the cap)
1 year contract : 5 million
2 year contract : 10 million (+ 1 million dollar bonus at end of the contract - 2 years)
3 year contract : 15 million (+ 2 million dollar bonus at the end of the contract - 3 years
*i would like the nba and players to agree that there will be hard cap in 5 years time (stupid to do it now as players are still locked up on max deals for 5 years and teams need time to adjust)

i think a hard cap would e terrible for the league. yes it would make parity, but the teams would be as fun to watch and there wouldnt be as many huge games. the league is at its best when the big markets have good teams and the rest are still competative with each other, imo

not all the teams would pay close to the cap (need minimum cap spend though) as some teams need to draft early to hopefully get future superstars and then have the money to actually pay them and keep them around
the top players would still sign with the big teams in the big markets as a preference
