Early this morning, I took LAC/SAC o196 and placed a 1u bet.
Now, I see the total is 200.
I could bet the under and have a 5 point middle in which I win both.
Quick questions:
- Approximately how much is each .5 point worth in an NBA Total when it comes to middling? Is there anyway I can figure out the EV of this bet?
- Secondly, if I already have a wager placed on o196, doesn't this make my original wager a +EV bet, based on the current total of 200? Is there any situation when just playing your original bet is better than attempting a middle?

You bet over 196? Now the line is at 200 and you want to bet under to get a middle?
Its a crap shoot man. Middles are a tough business. Personally, I would let it ride, see how its going at half, go from there. I dont try to middle much so maybe some others can chime in. gl

I find the best way to middle a game is thru live betting and ht bets. Bet what u think will win and wait for those 10 point + spread and total numbers they'll give u in live or ht betting. Imo

If you liked the over at 196 I wouldnt bet the under at 200. If the total sails over in the 1st half, then you can middle and bet the under for the 2nd half.

Sm stfu, anyway.. It's called gambling for a reason. If you want a chance to double your profits you can try to middle with only risk losing juice, I would do it. However I do think this game is sailing over 200. BOL

And try to hit the under... Middling isnt the term to use... Its hoping it will hit the under because you were on the wrong side possibly and as a consequence you have a chance at hitting both...
