Why is this spread -2.5/3 now?

I get Murray is out and Kawhi on the other side. LA has lost 5 straight at home and has been very inconsistent. Nuggets been playing great ball since the break and are fighting for the #1 spot. My first impression was this was a smash spot but this line is sketchy asf. I thought it would be -5.5 by now. 

My buddy is in FL and just called me because he signed up for an account and they gave him a free $100. They said it has to be on this game. So he placed it on the Nuggets and said it was such an easy bet at -3. HUH? Nothing in betting  is easy...

Is this a Vegas special?
