The Heat are 13-0 ATS playing a team that covered against them by +10 earlier in the year. The Heat are the defending champs, are warming up lately at the same time as they did last year, and are playing in the biggest revenge game of the year for them. Yet, books are offering them at +135. Heat looks like dead money to me tonight. Maybe people have forgotten how dominant the Thunder have been this year or are neglecting that they are 21-1 against a team playing there 3rd straight road game. Will Westbrook be rusty? A lot of people think he will be but I'm not so sure.
The long 6 day all star break has messed with a lot of my situational angles over the past few days so i'm going to sit back and watch this one without any money on it tonight. Hoping Durant goes off for 50 though

LC -- this is an impossible game to cap if you ask me -- I have to say that the line is pretty spot on and I am surprised it didn't open up at a pick ala the Warriors game (which in my opinion should have been priced similar to this game but with the Rockets favored -- they own the Warriors) -- I think we see a game that comes down to the wire today and would not be surprised to see either team take it by 3-6 points with foul shots

Word. I commented saying the same thing on your GSW bet post. It's good to see you're working on it.
About the 21-1, I think it's a coincidence and has nothing to do with why Thunder would be prevalent against the Heat today. I think for this matchup, since it's a very close matchup. OKC ML -150 is prolly the only sane bet out there.

That stretch of time between last Thursday and now is a death sentence for the Thunder. Of course, it's not hard and fast- but IMO it's a huge X-Factor tonight.

What would you make the line for a 23-3 'home team' vs an 18-10 'road team' ?
Line is correct, no funny business here.

The trends provided are strong for both teams.....
It's the heat's turn to make the adustment however. I dont think home or away plays here. Heat studied that game tape. And as of late they have UPPED their defense. Like I said in another thread its very hard to beat thesame team twice in a row in the NBA..... let alone the defending champ. It was evident last year in the finals.
I also just realized that Thunder have been off for like 8 days now. . This is an absolutely shiitty spot for the Thunder. OKC is a rythm team they would be better off playing in a B2B here coming a nice night where they put a ton of points and shot the ball well. A long lay off plus the pressure and hype of this game may have them coming out SUPER sluggish. Sluggish enough where the Heat punch them in the mouth first and hold them off for the rest of the game. Everything to me says Heat..... they will be the team making the adjustments tonight.

I think the odds are spot on for this one. There's no way, in my opinion, that the Thunder shouldn't be favored considering that they have been well-rested and have been given nearly a week to device a game plan specifically for this game. However, I think Westbrook will be more of a detriment this early in his return. Add to that the revenge angle, and the way they were able to put out the Heat the last time they faced each other(16-27 from beyond the arc) and you've got a good enough of a situation to place a wager on the Heat -- in my opinion at least.
What are your thoughts on the Warriors v Rockets? If there is a fishy line out there, I think it's this one. The Rockets have been on a tear, and are facing a team that continues to show inconsistency.

LC, I went with Miami tonight but it was a stupid bet. Could have gone either way. Ultimately, I thought that Westbrook would throw a wrench in the Thunder flow.
