This was one of the worst butt-whippings ever in an NBA finals. The Spurs totally humiliated the Heat.

Yes they did. That was a great display of basketball. That was a total team effort and played the right way. After the game their was no chest pounding or arrogance showed. They took the finals and showed total humility. They showed in a world of look at me, there still is a place for let's come together as a unit and do this as a team. It was nice to see.

Disagree the Hall of Famers on the Lakers were pretty washed up at that time. Payton and Malone were almost 40 years old if I remember correctly. Wade, Bron, and Bosh are all considered in their prime.

I guess my perspective is that the Lakers were heavily favored and many said they would win 4-0 and the opposite happened.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened.
Heat won in 7 last year. They pretty much toyed with the Eastern Conference this year. They had a 6 point lead into 4Q of G1. They won G2. And then it seemed like a completely different team, like they couldn't handle the Spurs altogether.
And the Spurs weren't that dominant. Dallas stretched them to 7. OKC stretched them to w DD blowouts in G3 and G4 and should've won in G6.
So WTF happened in this series? Why did Miami have such problem scoring when OKC and Dallas didn't have such issues?

OKC would have won Game 6 if the refs call an illegal screen on Duncan which allowed that Ginoboli three.
The Heat did not hit enough open shots. Plain and simple. When you have wide open threes, they have to be made. The Spurs made their wide open shots.

What happened is the Western Conference has much better/stronger teams from top to bottom. Of course the Spurs were challenged in the West, the conference was stacked this year.
