WTF,how on earth can this team be favoured by over 2 possessions with the way theyve been playing??sure they are home and i suppose are "due" for a win but we still dont know if ingram will go and the thunder are fully healthy and have shown great signs of competitiveness for the majority of games...i expected this line to be around a pik em,maybe pelicans -1...but this is a mind-fuqq that makes me suspect they notch a win at home and do it well...i guess you could argue they will play it as their "superbowl" seeing as they wont see many other wins on their horizon but one could make the same case for the thunder.
im not sure many people will even be betting this crapfest but for those that do,what are your thoughts???

I am on the Thunders, the line is alarming but will gladly take the points. I don’t like going against a streak, would not back the Pelicans until they have a recent win.
I feel I capped the game correctly, if I’m wrong, so be it. I also like the Magic even tho cash is flowing to the Nets. Late steam is not always on the right side.

hmmm, hadnt even looked at the total...good looking out.that is startlingly low.i think both teams go all out and probably play well in what they will each view as very winnable.i think youre on to something here.

yep,i dont think i can turn this down..i was BIG on pelicans future of under 39.5 wins and have faded them every single game so far...no reason to stop now.if they show up and run away with it then so be it.this looks like a coinflip of a game,if anything the thunder have nicer talent overall in my eyes and have the confidence of coming off 3 wins in their last five, plus a close loss at the clippers.....+4.5 has to be taken.

i assume they expect ingram to finally play..sitting at +5 now.i just cant make sense of it..even with brandon i thought this should be a very close to even money game.

okay, help me out then....you are on the pelicans i guess??i did ask for opinions and thoughts so add whatever you feel.
i see these situations alot where a line just looks wacky and doesnt add up but honestly it always ends up 50/50 in terms of the eventual results to me..im not sure how to dissect it further to jump on the ones that are really confusing and are a "give-away" by the books.
at the very least you give me pause and i will hold off..i have been going against the pelicans every game so far so am already ahead but it dont bother me sitting this one out, unless you convince me they are actually a strong play to cover 5.

okay im gonna go out on a limb and hold my nose with new orleans...just a measly half unit.youve flipped me.
but do tell me,how do you really break down these situations where a spread looks wonky based on recent performances?i mean if i bet it every time i see such a scenario i feel like i wouldnt be much better than 50-53%...sometimes they end in the "obvious, easy" win and sometimes the line ends up being a "tell"...they do tend to hurt my brain every time and i just end up being scared to bet it,haha.

A half unit isn't even a bet. Take advantage of this play, and you were right about what's on the horizon - the Brooklyn Nets are on the horizon, due to arrive at the Smoothie King Center on Friday. The time for the beleaguered Pelicans to snap this seven-game slide is now. Who will want the game more? Who needs the win more? Clearly the Pelicans. This line didn't rise from -4 to -4.5 to -5 because Joe Public digs the home team, no.

it is for me,sir..i am conservative and only doing this for a little fun,shits'n'giggles..not looking to ever blow a bankroll...try to always keep bets between a half and 2 units..i dont have the degenerate tendencies that many others around here do.

The line drop by 1 point ... not a good sign for Pelicans backer
its cos ingram ruled out again i believe...or at least thats the report i just seen...not sure it will make much difference, they either come out full force and win well or not.,..probably a game more about desperation than who suits up.they are terrible though, cant say im confident in the pels, hehe.

Sorry you were talked out of your very accurate read on this game.
its all good mate...im always interested to hear others opinions.bator is highly, highly respected and in the end we all make our own decisions to place bets.no problem.
but these are the type of "jedi mind trick" lines that make my brain pulse with agony.im never quite sure whether to grab the gift or be wary that its a booby trap,haha....it just looked like getting 5 free points on the surface of it and thats how it worked out in this one instance.

Im with you my brother. Im on gsw -7 later tonight and thought that was a gift. No gifts in gambling...
funny you say that, thats another line that looked a wee bit short to me...the way the warriors been blowing the doors off of teams every night that could have been at least -9.5 and wouldnt have shocked me....wolves can compete for most of a game but always tend to let go of the rope at some point in the game and gsw always have that huge burst of scoring to take them away....7 points doesnt seem like it will be a problem if they can play focused.
