i got ATL, they had their home stinker vs Memphis and will rebound. I had memphis in that one and have ATL here.
People in this thread talked about how good shooting against Philly hurt them.. are you ignoring the fact that Atlanta is one of thee best shooting teams in the NBA this year??
Atlanta has not one, not two, but they have THREE guys who are in the Top-10 in the NBA for long distance shooting percentage.
ATL matches up well with Philly, just like Miami does. Moreover, this is a revenge game for Atlanta as they lost in Philly 2 weeks ago

while Horford may be out for ATL, don't forget that Philly's best big man Spencer Hawes is out for Philly. And ATL is deep for big men, and clearly have better and more talented bigs than Philly does.

People are seriously overrating the Sixers because of a few 20 point wins at home against crappy teams, and one win against a Bulls team without Deng and withoutRip, and Rose who had the flu in that game. Even coach Collins talked about how under the weather Rose looked on the court in the 2nd half of that game from his chair.
Look, they're a nice team, but the overrating of them by people thinking they're a contender to win the East is laughable. They are still 2 years away.
And who have they beaten on the road? NOBODY. Look at teams like the Pacers, who have beaten some good teams on the road recently like Chicago , ORL, Dal (who is very good at home and especially recently). Indy is a better team than Philly, and so is Atlanta.
I'm not saying Philly can't cover tonight, or that it's impossible, but it's just ridiculous how people overrate teams so quickly around here. I mean, get real. I had Memphis over Atlanta in their last game because it was Atlanta's first home game after a very successful road trip in which they went 4-1. And teams coming back home for a homestand after a long successful trip of 4 games or more generally have sluggish performances in their first home game back.
The overrating of Philly is just comical. Nice young team, who "may" win a round in the playoffs if they're healthy and don't face miami or chicago, if everything goes right for them in the 1st round and they incur some luck. But they are 1st or 2nd round fodder at best. Nice little story but don't get ahead of yourselves, they are still 2 years away

philly's defensive efficiency rating is seriously overrated because they've had one of the easiest schedules in the league, had A LOT of home games recently and played a bunch of horrible teams at home who were offensively challenged.
Atlanta is 4th in the NBA for Defensive EFF with a much tougher schedule. Switch their schedules around and you can switch everything else around.. with Atlanta ahead.
Again, Philly is a nice little team, but to say they are a ;great; team is just preposterous. They are not a great team yet, they certainly have flaws and are flawed. They have the potential to be a great team in a couple of years.

And Josh Smith has more talent in his little finger than Elton Brand does (in this stage of his career). Without Hawes for philly and without horford for atlanta, the Hawks have the more talented bigs overall who can do more down low. They are also a better rebounding team

no matter what happens in one game, Philly is not a great team, unless your definition of great teams involved half the league.
I guess Philly could be put in the same sentence with ATL, Indy, Mem (without Randolph), if you were to try hard.. and none of those teams are what anyone would call GREAT teams. Again, nice teams , but not great teams.
Philly has had one of the easiest schedules in the NBA this year. You can give a good number of NBA teams that same schedule, with so many home games against crappy teams, and with a relatively easy road schedule, and you would probably think the same about them

Anyway good luck.

Regarding the matchup, PR9 is right about Philly's schedule. Sixers aren't great, and last game in Philly was the tale of two halves. I'm expecting to see the same in a tighter game. Which is why I took the 4.

Probably you right .But Zaza Pachulia on his nature he is forward and because that atlanta's advantage is not big on the paint .
smith not in god shape and this +for philly .
I accpet with you that on smith's position atlanta have advantage but we need to remember smith not in good shape and this +for philly . Iguodala and Holiday like to give a fight and i think that tonight we wiil see this .
good debate PR9 and GL to you .

Brand is out but imo he is very overrated and is not close to the player he was years ago. So who cares if Brand is missing, he is not a difference maker whatsoever.
But With Hawes back in tonight,. and with Lavoy Allen starting for Brand I think Philly is clearly a better team tonight than they were yesterday.
