I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist but here's my take on Game 6 tonight as well as the remainder of the NBA season....
What does the NBA NEED? The more I think about tonights game the more I become certain of one thing.... The NBA needs Miami to win tonight, point blank.
Game 5 was the most watched NBA game this season... Think about what Game 7 would be!
Think about what an OKC-MIA series would be! Think about the FUTURE of the NBA.
The Thunder are obviously the premier up and coming team in the West, that we know. Now the question is, which matchup helps the FUTURE of the NBA more...?
OKC beating down an ancient Celtics team destined for retirement/break up in the near future? Or what about the series matchup with Miami...? They would roll into the finals with huge momentum after winning two straight and fighting for their lives like we are not used to seeing them do.
At the end of the day here's who wins tonight and why: It's beyond simple, it's the HEAT. The amount of money and implied money the NBA stands to gain from not only GAME 7 in South Beach but an exciting NBA CHAMPIONSHIP series with two young explosive teams is substantial.
I would be shocked if the duo of Wade/James didn't see 25+ FT's tonight, much of them coming inside 10 minutes to play.
Just something to keep in mind, you can call me a moron or argue that it has nothing to do with the players on the court but I'm siding with the conspiracy theorist in game 6...
MIAMI ML 1350 to win 1000
I will be around after the game to discuss the outcome, no matter the result. Enjoy!

Ummm ... I have seen too many times where the NBA could have made a lot of money if only a certain playoff series went to 7 games.... if there was going to be a **fix*** it would have been last night... to me a 7th game San Antonio-Oklahoma would have been a must see. But I understand what you are saying with Boston-Miami ... both come from larger market cities and the ratings would be out the roof. There are times I wonder about controling the final scores... but I think who ever wins...wins we it comes right down to it. Pretty much to sum it up... dont over do it on the conspiracy theory.
