Portland +4 and ML

Im taking Portland tonight to win and cover. They are another no win team in preseason and I know preseason doesnt matter but Lillard is back and im sure they want to finish the preseason on a good note. That being said last night both no win teams did lose as favorites, but WSH and LAL had a majority of the starters playing for the first time together.  Portland has just one returning player (Lillard) to the lineup and should help them with chemistry.  Portland's 2 losses are to Sacramento and  Golden State who have been playing lights out preseason ball.  Look for Portland to take this one on the road.  Preseason is moreso about the 2nd and 3rd units for a team as the starters are typically pulled by mid 3rd quarters. Suns are the deeper team and have everyone available outside Saric and Booker (off the injury report but still questionable on whether he will play).  Reports are the Lillard will play in 1 of the 2 final games, with it still being questionable whether he plays tonight or in the Blazers last game on Friday.  Also Simons is questionable and Snell, Little and Zeller will not play. At the end of the day its a tossup but I'd back the Suns as they are the deeper team and have shown their 2nd and 3rd units can score.

The Phoenix Suns are an energetic bunch that’s clicking at both ends of the floor, and they should play their key guys for this contest given it’s their last preseason game.

 I agree phoenix is the better team. I just expected the suns to be a bigger favorite today. Line has moved to -5. Just scares me to see such a small line verus a trailblazers team that really has not looked good this preseason. I guess i am expecting a bounce back game from them. I do appreciate maybe i should watch this one and stay away. Thanks and bol

If Portland plays all starters then no, -6 wouldn’t be a good bet in this preseason game. Booker will probably go tonight but not sure of how many minutes from him
