What is going on my friend?! Looks like you have been doing very well for yourself...congrats! Haven't talked to you for awhile. I need a little help and direction, and so I am coming to you (yes, again). I am setting a goal for myself to reach $2,000 (profit) by the end of the year. That is only averaging winning $57 a day for the next 35 days. That doesn't at all seem unrealistic to me. Point me in the right direction on what you might do if this was a goal you set for yourself. bet what prize bets each day if its one play or 5 plays. with a 2000 dollar bankroll your bet today should be 60 dollars. so bet 60 dollars on all three today or if u only pick one.
if u when today your bankroll should be 2060 dollars if it is one bet. that means tomorrow your bet should be like 62 dollars.
you want to bet like 3 percent of your bankroll on each play if it is one or five plays doesnt matter. then u adjust it accordingly like on a losing day or a winning day.
sorry if im not explaining well u can ask me a question. im sure prize will be around later.

BSBALLNUT,
Hey! You said your goal is 2,000 dollars profit by end of the year? End of basketball season or in a month? I wouldn't set a goal just one month away. Look at wagering as a lifestyle and a job from here on out. 730 Champ said it correctly. Wager between 3-5% of your bankroll on each play. I've done more sometimes, but rarely. Many people don't realize that my bankroll I have posted in the NBA forum is just MY NBA fund and not my entire bankroll. Thus, when I wager 5% of my bankroll of my NBA FUND it is just about 1.25% of my ENTIRE roll.
Here are some tips:
1. I don't recommend just following me. I won't be around forever and you need to learn to make money for yourself. You need to tone up on your capping skills in a few different ways I will explain later on.
2. Use a spreadsheet of some type tracking your win/loss record and your cash flow, and chart it. Run your account like a business. Look at your entire roll as the net worth of your company. Be your OWN PRESIDENT. It is your chance to be in charge of a potentially large company.
****That is where I started about 10 years ago. I actually have a small "staff" of 3 people that have helped me, each other, along the way. They give me sheets of statistics for the game, consensus info, line movement, without team names, so their is no bias. Granted that is not everything, but it is a major consideration when it comes time to pick a game***
3. Get a life. Don't just watch the games and wager. When you just follow the games 24/7 you run the risk of not using money management. If you are going to watch a game, go for it, but most of the time I wager on a game, and look at the score later on. I work out in between and a lot of other things. When you do this, it allows you to not be controlled by gambling, not get on tilt, and think LONG term.
4. Cash out money every once in awhileI. This NBA season I've cashed out actually bout 10,000. I've had about 15,000 of profit. I still look at my fund as if the cash out money was in there, but I don't leave it in their sitting. I invest it in stocks, bonds, or spend it, or give it a way. 10,000 of the profit this year, I've saved about 3,000, bought at huge 60 inch HD tv for the basement, and then absolutely used about 3k for charities, mission trips in the church. I believe that money management, successful gambling is a gift, and that to not spread the wealth to needy is just being greedy. When life is all said and done, you can't take the money with you, and when you look back, don't wish you had given more and helped others out. (not going to get in depth about religion on here)
5. Don't tease over/unders for the most part. If you are going to do a teaser tease pt values. More value in teasing a spread of 6, then teasing a o/u of 150 down to 144. Not saying I don't, but try not too.
6. Winning is not a MUST, This is fun, run it right, use money management, find ways to pick winners, but don't EVER be dependent on cash flow from gambling.
*************************
The easiest way to be successful in gambling is to study picks. Look at trends, home vs. away, in the NBA look for let down spots. Long road trips, a lot of games in a short amt of time.
Never ever forget the line movements. Look at consensus, line moves, etc. (you know how I feel on that)
Why use just your brain when you can use EVERYONES by watching line movement and public thoughts.
Watch for sucker lines, if it is to easy it probably is.
Finally, if you don't see a good wager, then don't.
Their are 365 days in a year, with games on nearly if not all of them.
Good Luck,
