Let's say that Miami is more motivated to "survive" more than Denver is more motivated to already win the championship at home, the scientific facts remain, regardless if Miami have perfect motivation:
1. They simply cannot guard the tall guy. He even shoots three pointers, everyone in Miami, not just in Heat, no matter how talented cannot physically jump higher than tall guy in order to block him. This gives Denver free points.
2. The other way around: take a look at Miami's scores: Game 1: 93, Game 3: 94, Game 4: 95, (did not include the outlier Game 2, more on that later). With basic numerical reasoning you'll see Miami Game 5: 96. Same logic as (1) applies: you can not score if a guy a foot higher than the tallest guy in your team is defending you. This basically means Miami is playing 4v5, evidenced by the 10+ lead Denver had for the games (except game 2). It can be argued that Denver is holding back because a 10+ lead is small for 4v5, but it only shows how efficient Denver is because they won't use extra energy when 10+ is the same as 20+, they both win games.
3. Game 2 as you already know, is the result of Denver holding back in Q4: they tried it in game 1 and lost by 10 points Q4 against Miami but their lead was already too huge that they already won the game if you add the scores of the four quarters. They simply miscalculated in Game 2 and overestimated the energy they needed to conserve for the next games. In hindsight, this "miscalculation" was actually all according to plan, as losing in Game 2, giving away the streak of losing at home during the playoffs, made the Denver fans sad, and Miami overconfident. This blindsided them and the results of Games 3 and 4 returned to the expected, the same as game 1. Denver lost in game 2 simply because they wanted to win the championship at home in Game 5, not in Miami with an already empty crowd during Q4 in Game 4. This is doubly sweet for the Denver fans as their disappointment in seeing their streak "lose" in Game 2 is now the complete opposite, ecstacy, as they witness the hero comeback, also understanding why Denver "lost" Game 2.
Anyway, for Game 5 I'm taking Miami ML. The odds are just to good to pass on and Miami needs to win this game or they're out of the playoffs.
