For obvious reasons, I don't want to go back to that other thread in which I posted 3 losers.
From my vantage point, here is what went wrong with those picks:
1) Rockets used the injury report to play possum against the C's. C's came out flat, expecting a less than 100% Harden, and the Rockets jumped all over them. But C's took their best punch, put their game faces on, and roared back. Unfortunately, not only did the Rockets answer every Celtic run with a big 3 pointer (mostly Harden who was 9-18!), but the C's also expended a lot of energy coming back from the deficit. Once Austin Rivers banked in that miracle three at the end of the 3rd to push the lead to 6, I knew the C's were done. Add to this the the improbable shooting by Harden (who was supposed to be injured) and all the bail out fouls he got shooting some of those 3's, and the C's hardly stood a chance.
2) If only the Kings had made their run a quarter earlier and the Lakers had faded sooner. The shorthanded Lakers knew their best chance was to jump out early against the sluggish Kings who had played the night before, and then hold on to the lead for dear life before they ran out of gas. The strategy almost worked. Had the Kings gone for two and sent the game in OT, I think they would have covered.
3) Just when you thought the small market Jazz had turned things around and were through taking nights off, they come on national TV and lay an egg. That was the most disappointing loss of the three because the team did not show up.
All in all, a complete disaster. And I would not be on here confidently posting again unless the bets I'm about to suggest were already ready to be made before tonight's debacle (in other words, they are not chase/tilt bets).
In short, I like all the teams seeking revenge tomorrow night against team they played two nights ago. All three teams are much better at home, and all three opponents are bad to mediocre on the road. Two of the losses were gut wrenching for the losing teams, and the SA/Nuggets game was hard fought throughout. I expect two of the home teams to win by dd and one of the games to come down to the wire (probably Denver v SA). And if 2 of the 3 games don't hit, I will not be back here for a long, long time. I don't like costing people money.
Hornets -4.5
Pelicans -5
Nuggets -4
The books made a killing tonight, including the public dog (NY) that lost, so these numbers don't scare me.
Good Luck.

BB, I have always appreciated your insight, analysis and thought process with your plays. You are in depth and informative and your threads are always a good read. Revenge this season has been massive when the losing team are fav's.
Here is the query for you to check out and look at the results.
P:L and F and P:season=season and season=2018
This is just this season alone. The ATS record is currently 51-29-1 ATS in favour of the favourite covering after a loss to the same opponent this season.
One game that doesn't fit the category but they got beat by their divisional rivals last season is the Pacers -6.5. I really like them to beat up the Pistons tomorrow as they Pacers are playing great ball whilst the Pistons are regressing and going the other way. Pistons won the series 3-1 last season but that was under SVG, not Casey and I don't rate Casey as a coach. If the Pacers want to show some class and really show the East they mean business this season, they need to beat their conference/divisional rivals.
BOL mate, shake off yesterday's 3 losses and bounce back tonight mate

I was on the same BB on the Nuggets play. I really can't understand it. You're up 16, 14 at the half and only win by 3. Complete self-implosion by the nuggets. And the refs don't help. I wish for once they would ref a game consistently on both sides. Onto tomorrow.

Well, fellas, it was another bitter day. All my picks won (including the Clippers which I posted in another thread) but only 2 out of the 4 covered. I thought for sure SA would rest their guys being down by dd (so they could steal the Clippers game tomorrow), but Pop went for the win on the front end of the back to back and the lousy Nuggets lost their big lead, scoring only 17 in 3rd!?. Then in the Mavs game, Dennis Smith Jr. was added to the lineup, which gave Dallas a nice lift, and Doncic hit 7-10 3s! If he only hits 5/10, the Pelicans cover.
All my bets were tied by way of "if" bets to the Clippers, so I stood to win a lot of money if the Nuggets and/or NO had hit. The lesson here is that Dallas and the Spurs have excellent coaches who were able to keep their teams in the game despite the powerful motivation from the opposing teams, while the Brooklyn coach did not get his team to play at that higher level for 48 minutes.
As promised, will take a break for a while from posting plays on the NBA forum. This is simply not acceptable. My final tip to you is that the Spurs have not won on a back to back this year (I think they are 0-4 or 0-5), and the Clippers are at 50% or slightly above. This will also be a revenge game for the Clippers who lost by more than 30 in SA when Lou Williams was injured. Both teams played their starters for heavy minutes tonight, but the Clippers are the deeper team and they are at home. So my lean is the Clippers, but I'm not making a bet because Pop is a miracle worker, and losing once this week to him is enough.
